Hi Guys,

My friend is after a pre built with a budget of £600.

No peripherals needed.

Games he has said to me he will be playing include:
Call of duty Modern Warfare
CSGO.

Pre built as he has no knowledge of putting a PC together. Not bothered about an OS either.

Thanks

Not a waste its just an entry into pc gaming. Is it on the cheap side hell yeah. But we all start somewhere with what we have.

Buying prebuilt you have to expect to overpay. That kind of budget is going to restrict you beyond belief. It'd be hard to get a prebuilt with anything better than a 1060 3GB and 8GB of ram, which is going to put your friend at MAYBE poor-medium specs of games like CoD.

If he could get his budget from 600 euro to 800 euro, his options would improve immensely.

Many people buy a prebuilt as an entry, I can't agree with that method BUT many PC gamers don't have the capability of building their own rig and don't know enough to tackle it themselves from the beginning. If you build as an entry, you probably already have prior knowledge about PCs, a lot more than someone who's just trying to switch from console to PC. There's nothing wrong with overspending for convenience if you have the money.

dont have the capability??? not being rude but sentences like that are the reason so many people make mistakes when switching to pc. if you dont know how to do something then you what..? Learn, thats the way of life, we had to learn how to do things but the difference between that and building a pc is building a pc is easy. especially if its low budget, wont be any water cooling or vertical mounting in mini cases. i have built 4 PCs, all of which were very simple from watching videos on how to do so which id be happy to link the one i watched. after the first PC was built, the rest were so simple.

wasnt trying to be rude in any way but Pre built IS not the way to go. especially if youre going to upgrade later, all prebuilts get cheaped out on the PSU, ram, and case and motherboard typically. he would be overpaying by a longshot, i built a $440 pc that can easily run your daily games at good settings.
