I purchased tickets a month or so ago to a game in September, thinking this virus situation would go away. But by the way it looks our state will probably be going back to Phase 1 and increase the stay at home lockdown. Even though I got a decent price on the seats, Im honestly thinking about cancelling the tickets and just go on a vacation since there is a big chance that fans won't be allowed in the stands IF they have a season.

Anyways, what do you guys/gals think? I really want to go to the game, but with this whole situation going on I doubt I'll be able to go.

Yeah I just canceled my season ticket renewal for the Hawkeyes, and Iowa is one of the more laxed states in terms of restrictions. I know the games will probably be played, but I'm in the same boat as you I just doubt they're gonna let fans go this season. And even if they do it it's probably going to be limited capacity.. which isn't the atmosphere I go to games for - and how do they decide who even gets in?

If it doesn't start clearing up soon I'm sure they'll issue refunds for tickets. I know some sites have started issuing refunds on specific events like concerts, NBA games, etc.

I would just wait until closer to September to cancel them, You never know they might cancel and refund the money back to you anyway.

Sooner or later they will have to cancel it if it is still bad by time you are going, Best way to do it is to let them cancel though cos then you are guaranteed a refund.

Wait until closer to the date. Im sure they'd give a refund if it has to be canceled due to COVID.

I do have insurance on the tickets and the company will issue a full refund if the game doesn't happen. Im 50/50 right now to keep them and wait or just cancel and plan a vacation lol.

I'd leave it until closer to the time. Maybe plan vacation for a few weeks after the game?
