So I posted two time's before about how xbox customer support sucks and all right? welp im gonna go forward with this lol.

So I tried getting back onto my old Xbox Live account which I haven't been on in the past 8 years.

First time I contacted Xbox support in 2014 they told me there was nothing I can do
in between 2014-2020 I basically tried many time's to get back on, no success.

Welp recenlty i managed to find out what email I had on my account !

But..... Yahoo deactivated the email!
Splendid !!

So what does this mean?

I don't wanna give up but it's just crazy how bad Xbox support is.

Like so many platform's/developer's have their account recovery setup where as long as you provide proof such as iP, Address, credit card information, other misclenous information than your set!

But Xbox on the other hand basically requires that you have the email and if you don't then your basically screwed lol.

Been ranting about this for the past few days heavily but over the past few years this has really been annoying me.

I've had many people just tell me to go make a new account .. Trust me, i have lol im just nostalgic over my old account and that basically gave me motivation to keep trying.

Let me know if any of you have had similar experiences with Xbox support and your overall thoughts with it.

Personally my biggest issue with Xbox/Microsoft has always been with how they present things whether it's update's,support, new background etc and not so much on their exclusive game's. I'm hoping that Xbox will reform their support in hope's to reclaim many old Xbox 360 member's since their sale's with the Xbox one is half or so compared to PS4 so they definitely need to change things.

For those who switched to playstation, if you were offered to get your old account back (if you don't have it anymore) would you consider switching over? lmk !

I experienced the same thing as you with one of my older accounts. I had lost the email and contacted their support and even told them that i was able to tell them all the transactions i had in the past month on the account. I got no help, but that was years ago. I decided to make an account so my old one probably would've been an older aged account, but it is fine as seeing my current is 9 years old. I also would like to see an easier recovery setup. With that being said, I'm probably sticking with xbox primarily because most of my friends are on this console.

It's just crazy how both you and i can provide more information than an email can but we still cant use our accounts. It's so stupid and boggle's me how its like this. Im almost certain there is a large chunk of the PS4 playerbase who left xbox due to not being able to get their progress back.

I understand making the recovery process dificult but they just made it flat out impossible lol.

The worst part too is that I have had several tech support people who were actually decent people who tried to help but the current protocalls in place leaves 0 wiggle room for them to do stuff, for instance they're unable to see many thing's due to security issue's which leave's them powerless.

Yea it sucks but I guess i'll continue to annoy them until they fix this

Have you tried re-activating/creating a email account with the same information? If so did it let you use the same Email username that was deactivated? If you can, I'm pretty sure you work around something where you can get xbox support to send you a link to your email themselves.

I actually tried that but the email I used is unable to be recreated,

I even contacted my email's customer's support and they're very stubborn and won't reopen any emails back up anymore.

I do appreciate all of your guys tips, idk im gonna keep trying I doubt ill get it but if Xbox gets annoyed then that is all good/dandy with me.

lol

An email address that has been deactivated will never be able to be created again for various reasons. Try Yahoo again, you may of just gotten terrible CS.
