What? A GPU 6+2-pin? No, you can not.
Use the 2x4 in the 8-pin CPU power and leave the 4-pin empty.

No, you absolutely can not use Molex to power your CPU. You use the CPU power connector and only the CPU power connector.

because molex connections are trash, and it's not 2004. Stop trying to use PCIe connectors and molex unless you want to fry something.

You said yourself your PSU has a 4+4-pin connector for the CPU, so use it. Leave the additional 4-pin CPU connector empty, it's not necessary whatsoever. Do not use a molex adapter or a PCIe connector to power your CPU.

Going to add on to 21 here.

The power loss will be there, possibility of shorting from molex. The connection might look the same but it is not. Just use the 2x4 and tuck the other one away or whatever. It's not worth frying anything over a bad connection.
