Can I update the dashboard while writing the Nand? My console Didn't want to update before I took it apart for the rgh install, so wondering if I can update it while I'm writing the nand. This may be stupid to ask, but I have not seen anyone else do this

Always update before reading the Nand, as the LDV value changes with every update.

Ok thanks , wondering now why my console didn't want to update through Xbox live before. If anyone here could help it attempted it 3 times and I tried twice . So a total of 6 times it tried to install, but didn't

you don't update your RGH through xbox live. Here is a forum on how to update to 17559 by Streamah.

The console is standard , all I have done I took it apart ready to rgh it. That's why I was wondering when I read and write the nand can I choose to update the console at the same time, as it was struggling to update through Xbox live.

What issue are you having with updating ? Is it freezing or giving you error messages ?

No error message. Just attempts it 3 times and then gives up.
It might have something to do with there being no memory on the unit.

I think I will re attempt to update .

Was just wondering if it's possible to update the dashboard while doing an rgh install. Using the dashboard selection within jr programmer

To update the dash through jrunner just grab the 17559 folder from XeBuild and put it in the jrunner directory where the dash files are. Then when you build the nand image select 17559 for the dash version. It won't matter if you're doing it while you rgh it instead of updating first.
