I have 2 questions about cleaning my car. I have an Vauxhall Astra GTC. I really take care of my car, Washing it weekly and hoovering etc. I usually take it to petrol stations where you can pay some money to wash it. This is okay and gets the job done but i really want to do it at home but i dont have a pressure washer or a outside tap for a hose etc. I was looking to see if i could find a pressure water that does not require a outside tap but no luck.

Anyway my first question is, Where is the best place to get cheap car detailing brushes etc? And my second is, Is there any portable pressure washers out there ?

Only thing i can suggest is to get an outside tap fitted? Shouldn't cost a lot to get it done, probably just over £100

I use the karcher k4 jet wash with a snow foam attachment which is sold separately. This jet wash does come with a tank connected to the bottom of it, but a separate attachment is much better. I then use detailing brushes from halfords and back to back hand sponges.

I jet wash the cash first on low pressure and then do a light snow foam layer and let it sit for 10mins, then I rinse off. I then do a high snow foam layer and use my sponges then rinse off with high power. I then dry the car off with a portable blower and then spray my wheels with diamond bright and polish my tires with waterless wash and wax.

I was thinking that but wasnt sure on prices. Will have a look.

I personally stay away from pressure washers, I like to do everything by hand with light pressure. That could also be because one of my first vehicles had terrible paint that would come off would a pressure washer lol.

You can get fittings to go from your sink to a hose, we replaced the faucet head from the sink in the laundry room with one that already has a threaded end for a hose so we could have hot water when we wash the dogs.

This or if you have one in the garden just take a garden hose line through the middle of the house, it's what I do.

Check this website to read about the [Minimum post requirement for links] and choose some portable washers that you can use to clean a car. And there will be no need to visit different cleaning services and washeries.

I have the exact same for my car. It's perfect! I purchased an autoglym set which included everything to detail my car.

And with it being black, it's a nightmare to keep polished! Especially when I do it all by hand

If you are struggling with the outside tap, look up about getting a water butt. You can get jet washers that will draw water out of a water tank/butt. Would need you to either use rain water or have to keep filling it but it's another option.
