Hi all

I have just put together a quick build idea and would like some advice on it in the form of how to possibly improve it or if it's a good build. Find the build here

Many thanks

Your parts list is private. You'll have to make it public or just post the parts list here.

That is significantly over your £1000 budget, and in the wrong currency. Even if you were building an $1800 system, I'd make some changes. Do not pay £/$100+ for your OS pls.

For a £1k system including monitor, you're looking at something like this;
PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor (£112.40 @ Senetic)
Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard (£104.97 @ Box Limited)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory (£89.65 @ CCL Computers)
Memory: Thermaltake TOUGHRAM RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory (Purchased For £0.00)
Storage: Crucial P1 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (£103.94 @ BT Shop)
Video Card: XFX Radeon RX 5700 8 GB DD Ultra Video Card (£295.12 @ CCL Computers)
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital ATX Mid Tower Case (£83.99 @ Box Limited)
Power Supply: Corsair TXM Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply (£64.99 @ Box Limited)
Monitor: ViewSonic VX2458-C-MHD 23.6" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor (£147.97 @ Laptops Direct)
Total: £1003.03

1080p144Hz paired with an RX 5700. You could get a 6GB RTX 2060 instead if you want NVidia/RTX since that'll still be fine for 1080p144Hz, but the RX 5700 is on par with an RTX 2060 Super for the same price as a 6GB RTX 2060.

Included 2 RAM kits so you can choose if you want RGB or not. You can also get the P400A without the RGB fans for 25 quid less if you want to lose the RGB and/or save some money.
If you want a fully modular PSU instead of semi-modular, then this is a good choice;

850W is ridiculously over-kill but this PSU is great quality and at a great price, so if you're spending more than the £65 for a TX550M, just get this.

It might also be worth spending the extra 50 quid for an R5 3600 if you can manage it, but the R5 2600 is fine if you can't.

If you're wanting a £1k system, and a monitor outside of that budget, go 1440p144Hz.
PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor (£163.98 @ Aria PC)
Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard (£104.97 @ Box Limited)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory (£89.65 @ CCL Computers)
Memory: Thermaltake TOUGHRAM RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory (Purchased For £0.00)
Storage: Crucial P1 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (£103.94 @ BT Shop)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB Red Dragon Video Card (£353.46 @ Ebuyer)
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital ATX Mid Tower Case (£83.99 @ Box Limited)
Power Supply: RIOTORO ENIGMA G2 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (£84.99 @ CCL Computers)
Monitor: MSI OPTIX MAG271CQR 27.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz Monitor (£344.00 @ Box Limited)
Total: £1328.98

Again, choose if you want RGB RAM or not, and you can get the case without the RGB fans if wanted.

RX 5700XT for close to RTX 2070 Super performance, either of which is a good pairing for 1440p144Hz. (I'm currently using a 2070 Super for 1440p144Hz and it's great.)
