Hey all,

For the past couple weeks my Xbox one has been freezing and is very slow. It eventually just stopped working completely. As of right now it just loads up to the green loading screen (the screen when you hard reset the system) and on some occasions it will load into a black screen with no sound or picture. I have unplugged the brick, switched outlets, disconnected all wires for a couple days and nothing seems to work or help it. Any advice you guys can give me would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

There is a couple options you have, you can factory reset your console or you can update the console from xbox support with a usb.

Here is a copied version of how to update your console via USB.

Go to support.xbox.com > select relative game that you are playing (such as Xbox One).
Click "System" > tab "System Update".
Click "How to use the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool" on Xbox One > scroll down and download "OSUDT2" in USB drive > install the update in Xbox One.
If OSUDT2 fails to install, download "Restore Factory Defaults" file in USB.
Press the "Eject + Accessory pairing" button at the same time, then press the "Power" button by holding the first two buttons.
Wait for the console to be repaired.
When "Applying update..." message appears, insert USB drive which contains the OSUDT2 update and let the system install it.
If the update installing process failed, try to download "Restore Factory Defaults" file in the USB drive and then connect it with Xbox One console machine to reset it into factory settings.
You'll be asked whether you want to keep your installed games or not, click "Yes". (If not, you'll get all your games on Xbox erased.)

If downloading the update doesn't work for you then worst case scenario is to factory reset it.
In order to factory reset it you need to hold down the eject and sync button and click the power button. Then wait for a couple seconds, till you see a menu pop up and hit the factory reset option. You will have the option to keep installed games or wipe your console clean. This should fix your console with the green screen issue.
