If the person you're talking to is looking at the chat and you preview the msg, can they see that you're doing that?

Your Bitmoji or a smiley face, if you don't have a Bitmoji, will show up in the bottom left corner on their screen letting them know you're reading the chat. It will stay there until you stop viewing the chat.

If you open and close the chat, it will say that you've "read" it via the main screen too.

My bad I don't think I explained it right.

You know how you can swipe from the left of the msg to preview it without actually opening the msg? If they're looking at the chat, can they see that?

If you preview it, then yes the recipient will know.

Usually, they'll be able to see that you read the message even if you didn't fully pull the tab to the left. Unless of course you're a pro and can somehow do it without the tab opening automatically if you pull it too far.
