I am trying to put together a budget gaming PC for my son. I have an R7 370 2gb video card, and a decent case and 750 watt power supply. I'm in Toronto, Canada, and my budget is CAD $500.
Within my budget, what CPU, motherboard and memory would anyone suggest??
Will my existing video card be adequate until I can purchase another one?? What would be a good budget card if I need to get one??
I can get the Ryzen 7 2700x

or the Ryzen 5 3600

and the Asus Tuf Gaming X570 motherboard

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

a few more things.

What kind of games will he be playing?
monitor? (if not just list the model of what you're using so we get an idea)
Do you need peripherals? (assuming not)
What is the model of the PSU?

Power supply is a EVGA 80+ 700 or 750 watt. Monitor is Acer x223w. Games are Battlefield, Overwatch, Apex Legend. And I have the peripherals, so I'm mainly looking for a CPU, Mobo and memory.
Thanks

Thanks everyone. I bought the following parts and have the system up and running:
Ryzen 5 3600 $239
Aorus x570 Elite MB $269
G. Skill Sniper 2x8GB 3000MHz $99.99
Total: $607 + tax =$687

So I spent a bit over the $500 I planned initially, but all told, I'm happy with what I have.
System went together without a problem. MB has a 11/2019 bios, so I might do a bios update
in the future.
Kid played for a few hours yesterday, and the system is stable.
