I've been looking to get a new internal hard drive because the one I currently have is noisy becoming pretty obnoxious. Anyone have any recommendations for a relatively quiet ~2TB drive?

Thanks in advanced

WD Blues are my go to when it comes to internal storage for general use. Found them to be fairly quiet. Or you could go the non mechanical option and go SSD based where it'll be silent?

Like Adam said, if noise is your main issue getting an SSD will be the most quiet (and much better performance).

An alternative to the suggested Western Digital Blue is the Seagate Barracuda Compute.

Cheapest decent 2TB SSD you will be looking around $200 for a Crucial MX500.

If you don't have an SSD already, I would highly recommend buying one.

Seagate Firecuda's are solid performers.
