It could. Potentially windows is not liking the cpu change and has may not went through the hardware auto detect. Whats the windows bsod error code?

Hi, thanks for replying. I never get that far, it freezes after I leave the BIOS. I get a black ASUS screen or it's the same ASUS screen with "preparing automatic repair" then it freezes and I have to power down.

Windows 10 USB Tool

Create that on a USB stick but you'll have to use another windows machine to do it.

Boot into the USB from the BIOS and select the option to repair your current Windows install.

Guide to help you along the way
