Hey! I'm currently looking for an upgrade for my PC. My budget is ~300GBP. Willing to go around £50 above is the reasoning is there.

My current build:
uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/AaronInT...ved/CX9FTW

At some point I'd like to get a 1tb SSD but that doesn't seem too important at this stage and I'll probably wait until I get a bigger motherboard instead of replacing one of the hard drives.

I also imagine that my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU so I'd guess that's what needs to be upgraded the most?

This PC is used mostly for gaming and graphic design for some context.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

CPU - Ryzen 5 3600 - £174.98
Motherboard - MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon - £116.96

You could save 20 quid by getting a B450 Tomhawk MAX instead of the Gaming Bro Carbon. Also, the Tomahawk is actually in stock, whereas it looks like the Gaming Pro Carbon is ordered upon request. However, the Gaming Pro Carbon has some extra features over the Tomahawk, so choice is yours. Here's a link for the Tomahawk if that's what you'd prefer;
B450 Tomahawk MAX - £94.95

You could also save a decent chunk by grabbing an R5 2600 instead of the 3600;
Ryzen 5 2600 - £109.89
Depending on what monitor(s) you use, you might not notice much or any difference between a 2600 and 3600 to be fair. If it was me though, I'd just spend the extra 65 quid for the 3600 if I had the money anyway.

As for SSD, this is a killer deal;
1TB Sabrent Rocket Q - £99.99
but if you just want something cheap that will do the job, this would be fine;
PNY CS900 960GB - £74.98
I'd just spend the extra 25 quid for the Sabrent SSD though. It's a really decent NVMe SSD for only 25 quid more than a basic, budget SATA SSD.

Thanks for all this info! I'll have to spend some time going through it. Right of the bat I've noticed that the Tomahawk board only has 2 SATA slots and I can't even find any SATA slots or any info on the page for the Gaming Pro one. I have an SSD and 3 HDD that use SATA. Is there a work around for this or am I just being blind when it comes to the Gaming Pro one?

The B450 Tomahawk MAX and B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC both have 6 x SATA 6GB/s ports. The Tomahawk has 1 x m.2 slot, whereas the Gaming Pro Carbon has 2 x m.2 slots.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the Tomahawk has one RGB header, the Gaming Pro Carbon has 1 RGB header, and an addressable RGB header. So, potentially worth noting if that's important to you. The Carbon may also have an extra fan header or 2, not that it matters much.

The Carbon also has Wi-Fi. Other than that, there's not much difference between the 2 mobo's. Same VRM set-up.

Instead of a normal ssd I highly encourage you using the m2 slot on a new motherboard. Intel has a great m2 sse thats 1tb for like 80-100 (got mine for 80 but it was a sale) Ive always found the m2 cheaper than a normal ssd. but also packs heavy performance
