I recently purchased this HP Pavillion gaming PC. Big mistake on my part. But here we are...
[Minimum post requirement for links] The relevant specs you may want to know should be outlined in the link above... I'm a total noob to computers, and as I understand it... About the only thing I can do to boost performance on this rig is to update the graphics card to a 1050ti. Correct? If so... Could someone point out exactly which card I need to buy? A quick search showed a variety of them available, and I don't know the differences between them. I'm so new to this, that I don't even know what I don't know. Thanks for the help if you can... |

Do you know of a readily available power supply, that is compatible with this motherboard? If I'm reading correctly the HP power supply compatibility can be problematic... |

DevilsLuck wrote I recently purchased this HP Pavillion gaming PC. Big mistake on my part. But here we are... All those 1050tis will work the same, the versions just come down to some manufacturers make a better cooler or overclock the card more. Any of them will work for you the same though. I would reccommend getting a slightly newer card however as 1050tis are decently old nowadays, I would aim for a 1650ti |

Is the 1650ti a plug and play component? Or would I need to upgrade my power source? Also are there "sizes" involved? Like compact versions that I need to consider when trying to fit it into my factory case, and mother board? |

Just get any variant of that gpu.. it's really all preference. If plan on OC and putting a custom cooling kit on the card then the founder edition cards are the way to go since they have a better bin overall compared to 3rd party brands. |

Thank you all for the replies. Sorry for the newbie questions. But this isn't my wheelhouse. So far the suggestions have been great! However I'm still unsure about a couple of things. The power supply. And the "compact" versions of the aforementioned cards... |

One concern I have with the 1650ti, is that the listed specs call for a 6 pin connector. I think my mother board is a 4 pin? |
