Hello! My wife and I just purchased our first home! #hype lol

We went from a 625 square foot apartment to a 2700 square foot home..... we get internet on Monday and I have no idea where they will put the router and sadly I will be at work... I have a feeling it's going to be on the main floor though.. we will be spending most of our time down stairs as that will be the location of our informal living room...

I'm basically asking if their is a suggested router / idea on making sure we have good coverage all around.. I can provide more details on like distances or walls or whatever if that would help answer / suggest ideas or products..

TIA

i'd just grab some signal extenders if you begin to notice major drops. There are quite a few options out on the market that are almost all worth it.

Just use one of Amazon's Choice WiFi Range Extenders. I have one in my 4k sqft home and works like a charm.

I STRONGLY recommend buying a modem ($60-$100 price range, most brands work) and then buying Netgear Orbis. My house is around 7000 Sq Ft and we bought the 3 pack and they cover the entire house, even through all the walls. May lose strength if you have brick walls. There a great price and made my internet SO fast. We pay for 150 Mbps and we get around 300+ now (wired) and 50-200 Wireless.
