Losing my entire house and everything I ever owned in a flood in 2011. Woke up to the 1st floor having 3 ft of water in it, got evacuated out of the house by national guard, then got stranded in my town when the two bridges connecting us to main land washed out. Got to watch my house flood.

Terrible situation, but it shaped me into the person I am today. Taught me to never take anything for granted, appreciate everything you're given, and truly made me realize who my real friends were when i needed them most.

troubled childhood and damaged house, these are the two things that made me a better man and taught me to never take things for granted, childhood=being a trouble maker and spoiled brat who didnt know the value of money, as for my house i have to rebuild it

pretty much the biggest impact in my life

Probably growing up in a bad neighborhood. Growing up with gangs, getting jumped because my school was in gang territory, robbed at gunpoint at 12 the list goes on. Thankfully i got out, my brother on the other hand is still there.

It made me realise that there's a lot of hate in this world and being angry isn't the way to go, i try my hardest to not argue (ill debate but i won't argue someone's opinion) I try not to yell often and i try to be a good listener. I'm still working on myself.

It also made me very desensitized, can't and won't say much about it. But a long story short, death really doesn't affect me as much as it should.

My first sexual abuse of a minor call. Still have nightmare from it today.

June 14th 2017, 2035hrs.

I was sitting in a parking lot running Lidar when a call for a health and welfare came over the net. I accepted the call not knowing what I was in for. The call referred to a mother who suspected her husband was abusing their child, when I heard that I assumed the father was beating the child. We responded and made contact with the husband who was actively abusing their 18 month daughter, sexually. I will not go into details but the sight I walked into literally changed how I am today.
Having a daughter of my own it tested the limits and my ability to restrain myself. I wanted to rip the individual limb from limb.

That's what changed me.

Making an account for this site.

I could have been higher up the stairs to success if this site wasn't a magnet to my wallet.

I had a decent childhood and all that. My life too a turn for the worst when my hand got ran over on tracks at work resulting in losing half my thumb, 6 plates and 28 screws to put my fingers back together.
