So as some of you may have seen, Walmart is selling a 65" 4K smart TV for $278 by philips.

walmart.com/ip/Philips-65-Class-4.../796403841

I understand it isn't a Samsung and what not but how bad could it be? The reviews are bad which that is obviously a red flag... but why? Why would a company create a terrible tv knowing people would just return it when it breaks in two weeks?

I was looking forward to getting this tv but maybe not so much now after reading reviews. I already know everything won't be in 4K unless you have like that xbox that has 4K or maybe download a 4K movie. Which is fine I'm just interested in the 65" for $278 lol but if it breaks in under a year or so it's not even gonna be worth it. So I should just buy a Samsung I guess idk.

What's your opinions on this TV? And non that are just like "not Samsung? Gross" lol. If I just buy some LEDs off a website and replace these for like $40 would that work? Idk

FEEDBACKKK! Thanks and hope everyone has a safe and fun thanks giving!

A lot of the time it comes down to refresh rate and other things onboard like most top end TVs will have Netflix and all that stuff built into it where some your just getting one big TV and that's it.

A TV is a TV to me I don't care for brands

Same... and I understand parts will be different quality but I don't feel like it could be that bad and especially with them releasing 1000s to the public in these next few days that just sounds like a bad plan if it was to be that poor of quality... all those calls trying to get a refund would be catastrophic.. Imma go with the philips and hopefully all is well.. if their customer service is trash and it ends up not being able to be returned or refunded I'm decently handy and ill take it apart and mess around lol

So. Last night at around 10PM we got home from thanksgiving dinner and I was honestly rocking my baby to sleep and I was like I should just go to the store (its about 30 minutes away) and see if theirs anything left.. went to target and their wasn't much left but their were a lot of 50'' tvs left. But went to Walmart was walking around and I found the balloon that says like 65" Philips TV but their was nobody there... stood their for about a minute talking to my wife on the phone and then asked an employee about it and their like ya we got a few in the back yet lol...

so long story short.. I didn't get the TV online but I got it in store including a second one for my buddy.. so all worked out and now I didn't have to worry about shipping damage or anything haha.

Hope all had a good Thanks Giving

You have to sometimes be careful with tv Black Friday deals, or electronics in general. Often times big retailers get tv's specifically made for Black Friday, which are barebones versions of the product you think you are buying, such as limited features and quality and what not. If you check the item and model numbers for them you will see many of them are different than the ones they sell for Black Friday. Its just modern day capitalism, just do your research and check specs compared to other websites selling the same tv model

Your very right.... I'll look into it right now but the same TV that is 488$ has one less 5 in the model number.. I wonder what is different about them. I'll look around a little right now
