So i have no idea if this is the right place or what if i should talk to someone but as the title says i just have a sudden loss of motivation. So college started for me about 1 1/2 - 2 months ago and ive gone mostly everyday with the exception of 1-2 sick days. College is nothing new to me, this is my third year of college. Anyway, last weekend i had a wedding to go and it was far away so we made a weekend of it, left friday to get there and left to go home on sunday. But ever since i came back from that i have had no motivation to do anything, like i dont feel like getting out of bed, i dont feel like going to school, i cant even sit through a 5 minute YouTube video without getting bored of it right away. Ive never felt like this before and its a very strange feeling for me. Its not travel fatigue because ive made that trip a lot of times and have never got tired from traveling it. Have any of you felt like this? I have no clue if the wedding had anything to do with it or if i just had all the life i had sucked out of me.

Probably getting back into the college routine as you've been away for the weekend somethjng a bit different, when reality comes back in it hits hard best way to get motivated for me is I try to plan my days so after work I'll have something to do so I'm never bored or lounging around, keeping occupied is key

Same here, first essay deadline coming up and this is where it's going to get tough. I panic through the first one and it usually gets easier from there onwards

I'm in the exact situation you are in. Junior year and out of nowhere I don't want to complete anything. What I did was fix myself up, I started to wake up early at 4:30 and work out and get ahead of the day so I have more time for other things. Second, I stopped prioritizing YouTube over everything. I would watch YouTube in bed all day while I watch the clock get closer and closer to the deadline. Our problem is our heads, so another thing I did was talk to the closest people I knew and told them how I felt. They helped me reassure my potential and made me realize if I really wanted to do something, I could. Obviously, I would much rather lay back and do nothing, but me realizing how successful I can be in my future if I just decided to focus on school and nothing else for the next 2 years, it would all be worth it in the end. Set up a daily schedule, be organized, when you have free time; think to yourself "Can I use this time toward progressing my career/academics, or am I throwing time away that ill never get back." Setting up short term and long term goals in life also keeps me going. I would suggest setting up goals for this semester, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, 10, etc. Let me know if you have questions or just want to talk.
