last night i restarted my computer to make some updates. i wake up and my password doesnt work. it is the right password 100% i just dont know why it doesnt work. i restart my password, make a new one, then it works.

as a test, i restarted my pc again. i typed my NEW password, and it doesnt work! i really dont get it. i reset my password again and i was able to log back in.

Maybe you're PC has a slight form of dementia.. I'd take it to see a doctor to run some tests.

I've not heard of this issue. Do you happen to have your Microsoft account linked to your PC login? If so, try logging in on another device to your Microsoft account and see if it's the PC or the account that's the issue.

I've got a feeling that it's potentially a keyboard issue where you're using characters such as @ or " where keyboard layouts change depending if you're US or UK based. I know that an update changed the default of the keyboard layout so this could be the issue.

Pretty much this seems like the most likely cause of the issue. I'd recommend if it remains the same to unlink your account and use a local account with a password or pin (risky). If you do that and it locks you out there will be some issues getting you logged back in.

Could also try the onscreen keyboard if it is a keyboard issue.
