I noticed a lot of very original names on call of duty and realized you can change your name one time with your callofduty account. (although online theres no mention of how many times you can change it, in-game it allows 1)

I managed to nab Donald Trump.

In Modern Warfare go to Multiplayer

< Press Start

< Scroll over to account

<Disable display name number

<Select Option to set Display name

As far as I know this is a new thing that came along with call of duty mobile. If you've ever wanted a certain unavailable Tag you have a chance now. I also noticed it works with many different character types. You can also change your display name online in your call of duty account. If you do it online you need to logout of your online account and exit the game then restart it. Your name will effectively be changed after your restart.

It all depends on that #1234567890 at the end of the name

Activision IDs work the same as Steam IDs and Xbox IDs (When they go live) and the name itself can be used by any number of players as it will be followed by your unique ID number.

Wow didn't know this. I wanted to put my current name in another Activision ID but didn't wanna lose it. Now that I know this I guess I'm good to go.

I've read on Reddit that you can't drop the numbers if you aren't the original tag. But I'll try in a few mins when I get home to clarify once and for all.
