You wasting time making an entire thread complaining about why YOU don't like it isn't changing anyone else's opinion.
Also, the game is doing insane sales numbers. So don't expect it to change. This is probably the Call of Duty you're getting from now on.

Some FPS aren't for everyone. Some people don't like change. But it was needed. The series was dying. Arcade FPS are stale.

That's one thing that makes me laugh, all these people will complain why the game is 'shit' yet still continue to play it and also continue funding the series

There's a guy in this thread complaining about the game and in the same post said he was LEVEL 100.
Like what are you doing? You just want to be mad to be mad at that point. That's sad as hell.

Why is it so hard to just put the controller down or find something else to play if you're THAT disappointed?
These guys may not like the game yet it's the most popular CoD in the last what, 5 years?
They should find something better to do than complain.
Shoot, Outer Worlds just came out maybe they should all be playing that instead of finding something to be upset about.
Good grief today's society and their instant gratification syndrome is asinine.

not sure where your logic comes from? I get annoyed at the game, because I love the game, I don't get upset with the game because the game is shit, I simply listed a few things wrong with it but I said overall the game is amazing...

If I was to just put the game down I wouldn't get anywhere with it, for years and years I've been playing Call Of Duty, if you can't rage at CoD then you're playing the game wrong aka sitting in a corner like a muppet, for years I've been pissed off at cod and the way some people play, that doesn't mean I need to take a break that's literally how the game is played, in my opinion I'm having the most fun I've had in a long time, but I can still rant and express my feelings when I come across complete bullshit?

Edit:

Example being, I've had the most fun I've ever had playing this game with friends, but yes I still get annoyed at it from time to time, that's just how the game is, if you look at the internet people are annoyed at the game but they still play it.. ?

It's like posting about Fortnite and how shit it's become or how they've changed this and it's easy or it's all 12 year olds but still playing the game.

I'm not looking to be mad at the game. The game is good, the players are not. I want to keep playing this game because it has a really good looking future. This game makes me mad as hell, but I don't get mad at the game I get mad at the people playing. Don't get on the internet to judge people because they want to do something you wouldn't understand. Back off and stop being a dickhead over a website.

I only played the Beta and didn't enjoy it. I know that the finished product is possibly much, MUCH better than the beta but I really didn't want to waste the $60 just so I can get bored of the game in 2-3 weeks like the past 3-4 CoDs have been.

I've been watching streamers play and the maps look rather okay except when you have to run across a road, the shotguns seem to be the most OP thing I've ever seen, saw a clip of a guy trying to destroy an indestructible claymore that set off when he ran past it the second time and Ground War just looks like the messiest game mode in COD history.

The only reason I'd get it now is if the person who I'm gamesharing with buys it for some reason, which I highly doubt.

Glad I didn't let the hype around the nostalgic "Modern Warfare" name get to me.

I honestly think the game is good but the bad outweighs the good right now. Every game I've gotten into has M4 corner campers, claymores placed everywhere, riot shield with throwing knives, shot gunners, and a bunch of crap that makes the game play boring. The maps are big and too "hidey", game play is forced to be slowed down unless you want deaths on deaths, shooting first does almost nothing even with great aim, if you don't have any attachments, & you'll almost always get outgunned by someone that does. The footsteps are too loud and you could be heard coming from a mile away as if you're carrying a backpack full of fireworks. People don't seem to move much. Everyone copies each other's gameplay & it makes the game worse. The beta was great but now that the full game is out, i feel like it's a big change.

I played during the beta and Ground War for the most part wasn't nearly this bad at all. I didn't jump into multiplayer day one, I went and jumped into the campaign and was blown away by it, had such high hopes for the multiplayer and I've just been disappointed with how the people are playing it. The camping on this game is actually on stupid levels. CoD has always had campers, but never to the point that you'll catch someone in a corner, window or door at all times of the match with claymores at other entry areas. The problem is that the sound design they did. They made it so when running you sound like a damn herd of elephant, dead silence is now no longer a perk and must be charged, WHICH still doesn't make you quiet, anyone with any sort of headphones/headsets above $20 will still hear you. Then they made your character be vocal when even in the remote area of an enemy or even teammate. All this audio does is promote camping to hide your own noise. The sound design in this game phenomenal, but they really screwed it up in terms of footsteps and general movements.

I don't mind the TTK, I like that it's more brutal in terms of most times you get shot first, you're losing that fight. The problem becomes with certain weapons that out perform others in a certain category. Example, the M4 should not out perform the SMGs in very close quarters, yet it does and even out performs almost every other weapon in medium to long range, to the point that you're putting yourself at a disadvantage not using it. I think that needs to be adjusted so the game doesn't feel so stale or punishing if you don't use THE weapon.

Do I think the game is shit? No, in fact I think it's honestly one of the best CoDs to date, in terms of story, music, graphics and gameplay. The problem I have is that the sound design encourages camping, with gamemodes being way too short that you feel forced to run around. I've played Battlefield, Arma, R6, I'm used to playing slow and then fast paced when you need it to be. CoD has always been fast paced and I'm fine with it turning into a mix of slow/fast pace, just they need to account for it. You can't have 5-10 minute matches at the current state because it forces people to feel the need to run around aggressively, which works against them due to the camping being encouraged by the sound system. If the matches were say, 20-30 minutes, I think this would even things out way better than they currently are if they don't want to adjust the sound system.

I've been watching streamers play the game and wow, do they just camp it out on Search & Destroy. I'm a huge S&D fan and I LIKE to run around the maps (when I familiarize myself with them of course). But it feels like people have taken camping to a whole new level on this game, from what I've seen. Also, I was watching Nadeshot and I was hearing that he and his party were concerned about how the game will run from a competitive standpoint.

I guess my problem is that I've been playing a game (Fortnite) where camping in corners, buildings and all of that is pretty hard to do since you can just break through everything and only have to worry right now about people in those big bushes.

I want to give the game a try, I just don't want to spend another $60 on a CoD game I'll only play for a month. Seems like a fun game to TRY, not a fun game to dedicate yourself to.

Couldn't **** agree anymore even if I tried to, didn't even read a 1/4 of it but everything you said was to a tee. Spawns are bollocks, every single player in this era of cod are nothing but campers.

Shotguns are ridiculous, shoot you from a mile away and kill you in one, so many things about this game piss me off.

But this CoD is better than all the recent ones, I've stuck around longer on this one then I have the others since Mw3, and its only been a week.

S&D has always been somewhat "campy" after MW2. MW2 people used to completely piss around, hiding in dead bodies, playing dead to go for ninja defuses, stupid meme builds and all of that stuff. Then after that is when it became way more serious, sort of like CSGO where people actually camp to defend the objective. I haven't tried S&D yet on Modern Warfare so I have no idea how it is, but based on how TDM and Domination are going right now, plus S&D has an even shorter time per round/game, I think I'm good for now lol

If you play on console, you could always buy it and then return it within a few days/week if you don't like how it plays out. I don't know how Battlenet is for PC when it comes to returns as I've only refunded something on Steam and never tried to do it through Battlenet, so if you're a PC player, I can't really say how it may be over on Battlenet.

When it comes to Search and Destroy you're bound to get "campers", but that's just the objective, can't really fault players for that. But players these days are just religiously camping, staying in the same spot aimed in, claymores behind them. That's just most players play style, absolute trash imo. You get players on Domination that still camp, not going for objectives, just straight camping, it's a camp fest. I've said it the last past cods, and I've never really read upon anyone else's opinions, I thought it was just me, losing my touch as I've aged, but nope I'm glad other players are having the same experience.

Mw2 you'd get players who'd hide in bodies and try go for ninja defuses, but players like that would hide in plain sight, that was the troll play style, I used to do that shit too when I was bored, but I'd never just camp one spot out.

All the maps have horrible lighting, they're too dark, players just blend in.

Even sniping, I used to love sniping. I miss the days where I'd run a sniper class, and enjoy quickscoping, but I refuse to even try quick scope on these new cods, them fun days are over.

Ay-ho, I guess I'll get used this trash era of cod players.

If you've got Modern Warefare 2 on Xbox, hmu if you're tryna run a rust, intervention match. Old times sake.
