I'm just in the market for a laptop that will be used for general office work.
£500 budget, any suggestions?

I'd give it a bit of time frankly for a new laptop considering Apple and Google's keynotes both announcing new devices and price points, and if you want something cheap and easy to replace I doubt you can really go too wrong with something from a pawnshop since at least here in the States they're littered with last year models.
