Which headset should I look at purchasing? I don't have the room to use VR to it's full capability such as walking around.

Something similar to the Oculus rift would be best. I'm from the UK, have a budget of around £400.

Is there a new gen of Rift coming out soon does anyone know? I really don't want to purchase the headset for the new generation to come out in a couple of month time.

I'm extremely new to VR.

Thanks

I believe the Oculus Quest provides a great experience for new vr users. It can't use the power of your PC though since it is a stand-alone device. The Windows "Mixed" Reality headsets seem to be okay if you want to use your PC, and if you have a small room you won't have to worry about a small cable. (Both these headsets use "Inside-Out" tracking
so they aren't perfect at tracking, but good enough for most games)

You said your room doesn't allow for much movement so I don't know if I should recommend the base Oculus Rift model, but if you can provide at least that the Rift is also a good start. Some users mention that the tracking benefits from a third lighthouse so i would keep that in mind.
