| So I'm headed off to college in just a few days and was looking for some pointers for incoming freshman (just general things that could help). |

| Don't push yourself into many classes. I would start with 2-3 to get the feel of it. Show up early to get a parking spot. If classes are back to back, then walk places instead of driving. |

My typical spiel to soon to be freshman is to treat it like a 9-5, because you're (most likely) paying to be there. Once you start thinking of missing class as "Shit that' a $900 class I might be wasting" it seems to be easier to get yourself to class. What I mean by the 9-5 is treat each Monday-Friday like you're working a full time job and spend your 9am-5pm either in class, studying, or doing homework. If you do that, then you can basically do whatever else you want outside of those hours and be 100% fine.
Also meet new people, try new things, the typical "college experience". If you're a traditional student, that is, living on campus and straight out of highschool, this is likely the most you'll be growing as a person in a realllly short amount of time. It's a great time and a lot of fun, and if you manage your time right, a manageable amount of work. |

Most scholarships and grants require you to be taking a full course load which is going to be 12 credit hours which is more like 4 classes. |

I'm going into my third year. Couple things I learned..
-DO NOT purchase text books until after your first class, make sure you are going to use it because books are expensive and if you don't use it what a waste of money.. -Pay attention honestly, it's not like high-school, this is where it actually starts to matter. -Show up to class on time especially on test days -Do the work, don't half ass it.. might work in some classes if the professor is chill but most the time not. -Study......... I used to just wing my exams and oof bad idea. -APPLY for all the scholarships you can, you might be surprised what you can get! Need any other pointer you can always PM me |

Try your best to relax and have a good time, but not too much. Make sure your work stays your main focus, but try your best to have fun and have a good time.
Don't stress or you're gonna have a bad time C's get Degrees. |

| Its not that hard but its different for everyone. Id say its similar to HS but easier to get distracted and not go to class (more independent). Depends on your major but you're paying to be there and you get out of it what you put in. |
