It worked fine for a day or so but now once its boots up after about 5-10 mins or so the console will shutdown and a red light will show up on my power brick. i tried to google it, told me it was overheating so i went into dash launch and turned my fan speed up but it didn't stop my problem help.

if you got any ideas let me know thank you!

Do you have another power supply? I may be mistaken but I believe it's the actual power supply overheating so changing fan spped wouldn't help. When it shuts off does the ring of lights turn red?

I believe it's the power supply over heating but Streamah or someone more experienced may have a better explanation. From what I've read though, it looks like it's the power supply itself not the console. You can try watching the temps in xex menu or something like that to see if the console is getting hot before it shuts off.

Power Supply, as long as your not getting a ROD or Triple flashing Red light then you're probably fine.

What motherboard do you have?

If the plug fits it'll work, they're made so that you can't use the wrong supply
