Getting a remake of Links Awakening is fricking amazing. This game is older than me and one of the first I played in the series, so hearing about this for the first time and seeing it was simply amazing. I'm really glad this is already coming out in September, because it will be a game I buy first with the switch and I won't have to wait for it.
It is already looking solid and getting back to Koholint Island sure has me pumped! |

Nintendo was pretty hype, a bunch of old games from their consoles and other systems being ported onto the Switch. Smash showed 2 DLC. One being the main characters for 4 Dragon Quest games and the other being Banjo Kazooie which is so damn hype it's not even funny. The big big big one, Zelda Breathe of the Wild has a sequel in development and I am so looking forward to that, because it's the first time a Zelda game has led into a direct sequel that wasn't an incarnation of a previous Zelda, Link, Ganon. I kinda talked myself into thinking Prime 4 would have been showed but I knew it wasn't lol I missed a few tidbits here and there for the direct because I was busy getting my badge for E3 but I'll re-watch it and see what I may have missed. Nintendo had a great showcase this year but I still do believe Microsoft won this hands downs. I'm going to say best to worst, from left to right. Microsoft, Nintendo, Square Enix, PC Gaming Show, Ubisoft, Bethesda, EA.
As this is the end of Nintendo's Direct(Nintendo Tree house will be soon which shows game play) I'll be sure to send updates through the next 3 days of games I get to play and my thoughts on them. If Modern Warfare is here this year, I'll post my expierence with it on the Xbox E3 thread |

Animal Crossing: New Horizons, out March 20, 2020.
I was really hoping we would see more time dedicated to Animal Crossing, but I guess it's cause the release date is still, disappointingly, some time away. I was really pulling for a 2019 release date, but I know that seemed like a long shot. It has taken them much too long to get a AC on Switch, and having it take another year sucks quite a bit, but I know the wait will be worth it, and I know it will probably be the best game in the whole entire series. Glad we got some more news on Pokmon, and actually getting more gameplay afterwards is amazing. I'm glad they talked more about DynaMax, but for sure not something I'm too interested in so that is disappointing.
I think it's really cool that they are bringing back the Pokeball Plus from the Lets Go games to allow you to "bring" a Pokmon with you when you go out. I'm glad it wasn't a one game thing, and continuing to utilize it is very smart and makes people feel like they didn't waste money. |
