Ahri wrote I'm really liking the look of the new Dying Light 2 trailer, first game was a success and the coop made it even better.

I'm just wondering though it's almost as if every game shown at E3 this year releases Spring 2020, there won't be enough time to play all of these games

the first one was really fun even though i never got around to beating it. I'm pretty excited for the 2nd one as it's a game I actually enjoyed playing that was a zombie survival type.

Anime wrote Yess finally time for The avengers. The graphics looks like just when I saw the movie. I feel like as if I'm in the game or watching a movie right now. Also glad they have Iron Man he is my favorite. And having their legit real voices in it very funny. The combat and fighting styles seems good. I'm definitely going to be picking this up when it comes out.

It's not the voice actors from the movies sadly lol Troy Baker will kill it though, if he can voice Batman and Joker in separate Arkham games, which are two different tones of voices and character, I think he's got it down.

Yup I just heard that. And fixed my post. He sounds the same tho. I wish it was from the movies and they have their real voices. One of the announcers made a comment Iron Man's suite looks weird.

They probably did reach out to the original cast to voice, but with their tight schedules as is, there was probably conflicts coming up. The other thing I can think of is price. Since those are established actors that both act and then voice act, their price is naturally going to be higher and it might have been too much. I'll use the Arkham games again, Troy Baker, Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy were happy to voice act for the games and weren't too demanding in terms of money, especially since Mark Hamill has voiced Joker forever and Kevin Conroy has voiced animated Batman for a long time, they kinda know where they sit with their fans and delivered. I'm not saying the Avengers cast doesn't care about the fans, but they're full blown actors, not just voice actors so they have a tighter schedule and will be more of a cost to get them on.

I'd rather them take time, and forget some other games no one is interested in, spend that money on Avengers. Just seems silly to release a half assed game that has so much potential, and it's just been rushed to get the game out. It's just not the same without the voices, also the characters look awful lol. Still will be a decent game I reckon don't get me wrong, but it could of been a hell lot better that's for sure.

Sadly that's just something they have to accept and we also have to accept. These actors when filming movies were already signed onto a contract for [x] amount of time, so their schedule was already packed around it. Now when you try to throw in voice acting for a game, it doesn't work as easily. One person might have a free day to voice act for 3 days straight in 7 months, but no one else is free. Person 2 has a couple days free in 4 months, person 3 has a day free in 2 months, person 4 has a free week in a year. It's stuff like that which makes it that much harder to get them on. Because you need free time to go over the lines, re-record anything and it's always better to record with a group for scenes where multiple people are talking or they need to act and relay their voice in such a way that would be happening in real time with their acting partner, instead of recording something months in advanced and having the other person react to it then to record their lines, it's kind of a noticeable difference that people would pick up on. Then there's possibility of money issues. If Troy Baker is going to do the VA for let's say, 120k, but Robert Downey Jr. wants 2 million, that's just too much for the studio to feel comfortable spending on, especially when they would still have to work within the actor's hectic schedule. I do think they need to go back and redo the faces of these characters, but I think everyone is going to have to accept the it's not going to be the cast from the movies voice acting these roles.
I don't think it's something that should be accepted though, instead of releasing a game that won't live up to fans' expectations, they shouldn't release it. Personal opinion, though.

Well if you put it like that, then yeah, I get it, especially as there's many actors to voice, not just like 2 people. Still upsetting though, but it is what it is. However, I don't see why they messed up the faces lol, no accuses there? I mean they still have time I guess, but as you said, we will just have to accept for what it is. It's like did they even try to reach out to the actors? Even if they got a just a few actors for voices would have been cool, then again we would of just moaned "why only half the characters have the voices" lmaoo so yea, we will just have to see the turn out next year, needs work for sure, but overall looks a good game.

Was looking forward to the Avengers game. But after seeing it I'm now just disappointed. It had so much potential and I can't see it delivering... Shame really.

You and everyone else, completely agreed. The character design just looks sloppy if anything.

That wasn't the main issue I had with it. The voice acting is god awful. I could deal with the way it looks. But the voices just triggered me. Sounded more like a snuff movie.

That's kinda where the studio just has to bite their lip and go for it. No game lives up to the fans expectations and the people who disapprove are always going to be louder than the people who do approve. The fans need to understand that the actors who played the Avengers in the movie, aren't the only voices the Avengers have had through all the years of TV shows and animated movies. Yes they are the most recognisable and I'm sure after Endgame came to a close, fans would love to keep seeing them as The Avengers, but it's something people need to let go and understand that they won't always be able to be The Avengers again. I'll use the Arkham series once more. Kevin Conroy has been known as THE Batman throughout previous games, throughout decades of TV shows and animated movies and was in every Arkham game except for Arkham Origins because of some licensing thing since Origins was done by a different studio. Mark Hamill is easily the voice of the Joker and he too wasn't the voice in Arkham Origins and it sucked that they didn't return for those games. Before we knew the reason they weren't there, people just flat out thought they were dropped but eventually did return in Arkham Knight. People were very vocal about it, how do you not hire on the original voices in your previous games and the 2 people who play those roles so well, they're seen as THE voices for them. Most people accepted it, with some spouting the usual "won't buy it because it doesn't have everything I want in it" and the people who accepted it, didn't mind the voices. Troy Baker absolutely killed capturing the Joker's unpredictable and psychotic personality when that was the biggest concern for people. The game might not have been received as the best, but people came around to the voice actors because they actually a good job of playing their role. Of course people were excited to have the originals back for the next game, but Origins voice acting wasn't a let down like people had thought and that's where it swings into The Avengers game. No game is going to be able to satisfy everyone's needs, it's just never going to happen. The people who disapprove or aren't happy are going to be the louder bunch than the people who are just hyped and excited. People may want the original actors, but they need to understand that others have voiced these characters before, for longer times too. Timing schedules and money are also a huge issue and not something that is always going to work. If an actor from the movies wants a 2 million check or even more, you have to work around their schedule or just can't come out to a deal that is reasonable, but a VA will do it for 100k or so, they can deliver their lines properly and they're ready to start right then and there, that's going to make the best course of action. Believe me, I would love to have The Avengers cast play the role here, but delaying a game, just for voice acting makes almost no sense to me, because that delay could be months, if not flat out years just trying to work around everyone's schedule then if they need to do any re-shoots, fixes, anything of that caliber, which then they need to go back in to model the facial structure after the VAs speak or if they're doing live motion capture, that just adds more to it.

Final fantasy was always such a bore to me, maybe because I never got into the lore of it as much as I should
