I don't think Nintendo will start releasing GameCube games on the Switch - yet - but they did say during the direct when Mario Maker 2 had its release date shown, that they have a goal to release a lot more of their older games through the Nintendo Online service on the Switch like they're currently doing with the NES and SNES. I'm sure eventually we'll get to GameCube games or maybe they'll do something like Sega did in the GameCube with the Sonic Mega Collection, which released a bunch of older sonic games onto the GameCube. Nintendo could probably eventually do something like that in categories like "Nintendo all Stars" would be Mario, Zelda, Pokmon, Kirby, Star Fox (I would say Metroid but I'm pretty sure Prime Trilogy is around the corner so no point in putting that on since those are the only Metroid games on GameCube.) Then the more 'niche' games that the GameCube had, compiled into their own such as "fan favourites" or something along those lines

Yeah, I don't think we will see this for a while, but It would be awesome to play SSX Ticky on the Switch

Why tho it would be so sick if they had GC Games on switch!

While I agree it seems like the GameCube has been forgotten, it was one of nintendos least popular consoles maybe including the wii-u. But it did have great titles. What I would do to play super mario sunshine or mario kart double dash again!

Also during this E3 I am still hopeful for good news on animal crossing supposed to be coming out this year but no info yet but it's hard to give out info on a game that rarely has changes.

Fantastic buy. I bought mine Black Friday 2017 and haven't had a problem or a real negative thing to say with the console at all. I told myself I wasn't going to buy one unless Metroid Prime 4 or Smash Bros was announced at E3 2017 and Prime 4 was announced, which was reason for me to go out and buy it. Plenty of great games to play, Mario Odyssey is a fantastic game if you liked Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy, kinda mixes into a blend of all of them, while having it's own unique elements. If you're into JRPG games, you can't go wrong with Xenoblade 2. I will admit, it is so damn slow to level up at times, like it gets grinder than the Tales series, but it eventually picks up and is probably one of the better JRPG games I have played. Mario Kart is always fun to play, Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee isn't as bad as people had thought, it's not meant to be a mainline game, so it's okay to go and experiment with a new system formula for the game. Complete bias here, Smash Ultimate has seriously been one of the strongest games for the Switch in my opinion. A lot of characters are viable in this game due to the mechanics. There are still low tier and characters that have bad matchups, but this is probably the most "welcoming" Smash in terms of who you want to play, especially on a competitive level. It flows nice and has a lot of techniques that were in Melee, which gives it kinda a mix feel of Smash 4 and Melee and a lot was done right.

Onto the system itself. When docked, it displays to your TV at 1080p and this might seem odd to people, I think it looks best in 1080p and 720p. It does support higher resolution at like 4k, but Zelda: Breathe of the Wild is the only game that has looked good in my opinion, everything else will scale, but you can pick out the low quality images very easily. When it's in handheld mode, it is 720p and it holds up pretty nicely. Battery life is extremely dependent on the game you are running and if you have it in sleep mode or not, but typically I've gotten about 4 hours of out, with the more demanding games about 2 hours on a single charge. Since it's a Type C USB, if you have a battery bank laying around, you can connect it to that in order to charge it. I took my Switch and a battery bank to E3 last year and it saved my life with not being bored waiting in the lines I wanted to for some games and I'll be doing the same again. Switch doesn't overheat, maybe if you're charging and playing for a long time, but I really haven't come across that. Onto the joycons, they're fine for handheld mode, but if you're going to play it docked, I seriously encourage buying a Pro Controller for it. It feels nice, has a very generous weight to it and can be used wireless or wired. Removable SD card storage so, if you plan to buy games virtually, pick one up a decent sized storage and throw it in there.

Overall, one of the better consoles to come out and really glad Nintendo made it a success after the huge flop of the Wii U. Right now, there is really conflicting reports about a new Switch. Nintendo said there is no new Switch to be showed at E3, basically shutting those rumours down, but then Nvidia says they expect a sales increases in console GPUs for the Nintendo Switch, so that could mean multiple things. I would wait a little bit, maybe nearing the end of Summer before buying a Switch, just to be sure that there is nothing new coming out soon.

Thanks for this, i have been debating one for ages and they do look fantastic!

Okay so starting off, I'm a little underwhelmed to be honest. It seems this game is pandering to the most casual of players in some big ways. Dynamax 100% needs to be banned from both competitive and online as that is the biggest crutch in a game I have ever seen and really hits with how they're trying to make it easier. Pokmon becomes giant, they mention it gets much more stronger and harder to knock out, so assuming a 4x increase in all stats and lasts 3 turns. They're basically giving out a 3 turn sweep to people or are forcing Protect to become meta relevant for all Pokmon so you hope you don't lose most of them. Then the raid system they're putting in, it sounds good on paper, but I am going to assume most raid Pokmon are going to be level 40-60, which will get swept by a level 100 Pokmon solo no problem. I don't know if you can raid solo or not, but if they're forcing you to find and wait on others to raid, will probably have some Pokmon soft locked behind the raid that you can't find in the wild, it's going to be annoying. The legendaries are rather meh, really too obvious from their game logos. The region and graphics look beautiful and the few new Pokmon they showed looked decent, but I really feel this game is pandering to really casual. It's fine to have a casual Pokmon game but Gen 6 - 7 was really casual and now Gen 8 is looking to follow its steps with the Dynamax function. At least with previous gens, Mega Pokmon were countered by any other Pokmon that would counter it normally, Z-moves were are a 1 hit nuke or you use protect and take some damage, but it was a one turn thing. Now Dynamax, it's a 3-turn sweep if you don't use Dynamax on your own Pokmon or if you do use Dynamax, it's going to come down to the speed tie and the base total stat of your attack or special attack.

Not impressed with the two legendaries for sword and shield. But definitely leaning towards shield when I buy it just cause he looks cooler out of the two imo

As a whole with the Pokmon reveal, I gotta say I'm pretty let down. This was gonna be the game that made me really want to buy a switch, but now it's just something that will happen eventually, not something I feel I really need.
At the beginning, I was very impressed. Being someone who's first Pokmon game was yellow version, seeing how much the games and gaming in general has changed over the past 2 decades is insane. Comparing it to old games, it looks beautiful. The movements, the nature, and the casual gameplay seem pretty great, but the Dynomax huge Pokmon look ridiculous, most of the Pokmon don't spike much interest, and the legendaries are just a total disappointment.
I guess I will continue to wait and see some reviews and opinions once it's released, and I'll hopefully pick a Switch up during the holidays and finally try it out.
As much of a disappointment it may seem, I'm never gonna give up on the series I know and love.

Yeah seems like they have lost inspiration or something. I played Pokemon go for maybe a month lost interest. The last Pokemon game I played was X the legendary Deer Pokemon that game sucked to. And then Pokemon Sun and Moon totally lost interest. Now we they brought back Alpha Sapphire that was a good 3DS game.

Yeah I as well do not like the new Pokemon. The legendarys are just plain sad. And the concept just seems like it was thrown together.
