As sad as it is, 1 million really isn't that much buying power. I would likely buy myself a house and fully deck out the interior to my liking, pay off my student debt and then probably go on a holiday as well just to splash the cash a bit. The rest would likely be saved towards having a kid cause that is $$$$

Couple of houses for me and the family in a nice rural area £700k at a push. £10k on a nice family holiday. £100k investments. Then the rest doing bucket list stuff or other investments.
