Whats going on everyone, I'm new to the forums and looking for some advice. I haven't had a gaming PC in many years so I'm looking for a good company that's reasonable priced to get a tower built. I'm in the low $2,000 range. My brother had a really bad experience with CyberpowerPC so I'd like to stay away from them. I also purchased a desktop from iBUYPOWER and after a month of waiting, the PC arrived with a defective motherboard. Very frustrating to say the least and that's why I'm looking for help. Looking for a good company where I can build/customize a desktop PC. Thanks

You're 100% better building yourself.

I never done this either and I very recently got a tower built from CCL Computers. I got a very decent build for just over 600.

If you put $2000 into a proper build and did it yourself, you could get a really great gaming rig.
Building a PC is actually very easy(I think of it as adult legos) and super fun and rewarding.
You can make a forum post in the proper prefix and some users can set you up with a part list for a great computer.
I know it seems scary and difficult, but after watching a few YouTube videos and tutorials you will feel confident. You will also be able to upgrade in the future with ease because you understand your whole PC, and you'll learn about PC parts and what not as you go.

Think about this decision for a little while, you will save money and get a better build for your price if you do it yourself. The majority of people here will agree it's the smartest decision for multiple reasons.

Building a PC is very easy, not to mention you get better performance for a cheaper price. There's really no reason to buy a prebuilt unless you need one of those small factor extreme performance builds like the Corsair One. Even then, you're paying for the form factor and performance. Just watch some videos on building a PC. If you decide to build a custom one; come back and ask us for recommend parts. All you have to do then is buy and build the PC.
