Hi Guys,

Below are my specs:

UserBenchmarks: Game 109%, Desk 84%, Work 63%
CPU: Intel Core i5-8600K - 92.7%
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 - 132.2%
GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630 (Desktop Coffee Lake i5 i7) - 8.7%
SSD: Crucial MX300 525GB - 68.8%
HDD: Seagate FireCuda 2.5" 2TB - 66.4%
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 2666 C16 2x8GB - 38.2%
MBD: Asus PRIME Z370-A
Case: Coolermaster h500

I have a really good CPU cooler at the moment however because it's so large I have to place the intake facing the top of the case meaning it's blowing the hot air down towards my GPU. The reason it's this way is the CPU cooler itself overs the RAM slots on the mobo which again is a limiting factor in case I want to upgrade the RAM in the future.

I currently have a: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro TR4 Dual Fan CPU Cooler. A water cooled AIO system would be more beneficial for me so I can install the RAM correctly.

Any suggestions?

Reverse the fans on the cooler so they blow out the top or back of the case. Fans on the top or back of the case should be exhaust.

Do you have the Dark Rock Pro 4 or Dark Rock Pro TR4? If the TR4, why are you using a ThreadRipper cooler? How have you mounted that, the TR4 cooler shouldn't come with a mounting bracket for Intel.

You might be able to fit the cooler normally but remove the outside fan for better RAM clearance.

Sorry it isn't a TR4.

I cannot turn the cooler round as wider than it is longer.

r00t, moving the fans around in the way you described could only pull cool air from the back of the GPU meaning it really isn't efficient. As originally requested, I would like to look into an AIO cooler please.

Can someone post a recommendation.

Had this same issue with the cooler hanging over ram. Really limits you. When I built my PC, I ended up moving to the h100i because I could not get my ram to seat correctly with the dark rock 4.

This AIO should also work with your case and socket.

I have the RAM seated correctly however there is literally no clearance lol. I have seated the RAM in slots 1&2 where as your meant to stagger them such as 1&3 or 2&4.

I want to overclock the CPU as well but don't want to because I'm worried about the over heating element lol. Thanks Chris!

It looks like the fan mostly covers the RAM, so removing that 2nd fan on the outside should allow you to use the outside DIMM slots without much trouble, I'd think.

If that is still an issue, even with the 2nd fan removed, then the way you have it now is fine, but as r00t said, just make sure to exhaust the air through the top or back of the case. It won't pull cool air from the GPU, it will pull hot air from the GPU and around that area, and exhaust it out the top of your case. Intake in the front should be blowing cool air towards your GPU.

If you want a recommendation for an AIO CLC though, we will need a budget and currency to work with.

H150i will be up there with the best of AIO's, so if you don't mind spending the cash, then yeah that's not a bad option. Make sure your case has support for a 360mm rad first. If not, then the 280mm Corsair H115i would fit.

That Corsair H150i PRO RGB is a good chunk cheaper on Amazon right now btw;
amazon.co.uk/dp/B077FZPCRH/?tag=pcp0f-21

I personally like the NZXT AIO's. I had a Kraken X61 myself, so I'd probably be looking at the Kraken X62 and X72 if I was going to buy an AIO now. That said, the X62 and X72 are pretty over-priced.

If you just want an AIO that will do the job, then something like this would be fine;
cclonline.com/product/245596/MLW-...8ACeVIaEfA
or any number of the alternatives under £70.

Thanks mate. It's a shame with the current CPU cooler I have as it's spot on other than the size!

Would you mind double checking that it will fit on the top of a : Corsair H500p, thanks again!

I am certain it has 360mm support on top
