I've always wanted to buy broken phones from like ebay and restoring them to working order and reselling them. I watch a ton of videos on this stuff, but it seems like EVERY apple item on ebay is listed as "icloud locked", and as far as I know thats impossible to remove? Also Samsung phone screen replacements are a LOT of money. Just wondering if anyone out there does this type of stuff and has any tips

I do quite a few phone repairs, and yes Icloud locked phones are at the moment impossible to fix/unlock.

Most of the phones i fix are iphones, this is due to the fact that you stated above.Samsung replacement screens are really expensive so not that many people want to pay that much money out on a new screen.

Iphones are pretty easy to fix especially the screens, i can do an iphone screen in around 5-10 mins.

Some of the other repairs are a little tricky as you have to remove the whole motherboard but as long as you take your time and keep track of where all the parts/screws go its not that hard.

Few tips i would use, Be very gentle and take your time. The ribbon cables are really easy to rip.

and buy a decent quality screw driver set and other tools

I would just warn you to be careful with devices you buy. Those icloud unlocks will never go away unless the original owner of the device has proof or purchase or knows their ID and password to remove themselves from the device. Other than that, honestly it's fun to learn. I've worked for/with apple for awhile now, and I consider my job a hobby more than a job.

Thanks for all the tips! I bought an iPhone 5s with a cracked, barely working screen of ebay (icloud locked). I successfully replaced the screen and digitizer with a working one and it functions properly. Really wish it was icloud unlocked lol, i knew it was locked when I bought it though. I got it just to mess with
