So im going to start going to the gym again (yay!), but this time im not gonna half a** it and go when ever im bored. Im setting a daily morning schedule on weekdays and weekends that im going to commit to and i need help with it.

i want to go monday, tuesday, thursday, and friday, with sunday being a chill day where i can take it easy or something so i can get back in routine for monday. Im not too sure if thats very good because i aint tryna hurt myself ya know, so if thats a good weekly schedule lmk.

next up is the routine. its a fairly small gym so im not too sure what i want to do there exactly.
im thinking of doing cardio every morning for 30 min min. and 45 min max then do 3 sets at every thing there then focus on a body part then switch the next day (legs monday, bicep tuesday, etc), i want some thoughts on that as well.

Last up i have a few question (dont make fun of me because i asked too lol)

-if i had a good high protein breakfast, would that eliminate the need of a protein drink, or is it still just as effective, if not more?

-in my fitness class last year, i learned the amount of reps a set matters and my teacher recommended 8,10,12. he kinda threw me off with this because im tryna build some nice muscle so im not sure if i 8,10,12 is good or if i should just do 10/10/10 and forget about what he said because apparently the one he suggested for me is for endurance training (not too sure anymore tbh) so if it matters lmk tyty.

thats all and thanks for anyone who took their time to read and answer

If you are trying to build muscle try to not do so much cardio because all you are doing is burning it off.

And the whole 8/10/12 set thing is kinda BS in my opinion. Push yourself and go until you can't anymore, but saying that, you in reality shouldn't be getting over 16-17 reps, if you get over that then you are not lifting enough. Obvs if this doesn't work for you then do NOT do it, don't hurt yourself.

As for your breakfast, eating healthy is so important in everything when you are trying to get in shape. But it won't really replace your post workout protein drink. After your workout I suggest (I use these) taking a protein and a glycogen mix. The protein will keep energy and the glycogen will repair your muscles a lot. Now depending on your weight and exactly what you are trying to do, determines how many meals you should eat a day and what you should be eating in them.

I go to the gym 6 days a week and I'm off Sunday. I also play soccer at my university so there's my cardio right there.
Monday- legs
Tuesday- chest, shoulders, triceps
Wed- Back and biceps
Thursday- legs
Friday- chest, shoulders, triceps
Saturday- back and biceps
ABS everyday because you don't have to wait for those to repair to work on them in reality.

PM me if you have any other question about anything
