Long story short I purchased a laptop through my old school 2 years ago and since leaving I've noticed that I am not an admin, which makes me unable to download any apps, or change any settings.

Like I said I left the school so I decided to ring them up and they told me that there was nothing they could do because I don't attend the school anymore. So I'm stuck with a laptop that I can only surf the web with and create documents.

I was wondering if there is any way that I am able to hard reset the laptop or bypass the administrative password myself.

Any help will be appreciated:)

The PC is a HP laptop currently running on windows 10

The password gatekeeper is bypassed in Safe Mode and you will be able to go to "Start," "Control Panel" and then "User Accounts." Inside User Accounts, remove or reset the password. Save the change and reboot windows through a proper system restart procedure ("Start" then "Restart.").
