Budget: 2.5k GBP

I need a W10 OS also.

The pc will be used for a number of things. Gaming, video editing, gfx, vfx, programming etc.

With this budget I do believe that I will see a lot of people going for OTT prices also, bare in mind just because something is more expensive doesn't mean it's better.

Please tell me why you pick certain parts.

Cheers.

Any peripherals needed?

Get OS with a cheap Windows key if you must pay for it as they still activate Windows 10.

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 1700X 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor
Ryzen chips are great in performance and price, hence why I went with the Ryzen 7 1700X. The Ryzen 7 2700X is an option but I don't think its worth the price for the little bit of performance boost you get when compared to the Ryzen 7 1700X.

CPU Cooler: Corsair - H100i v2 70.69 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

The Corsair H100i v2 is a know cooler that works great. It can also handle overclocks on your CPU. Beware, you do need to buy the AM4-AMD Retention Bracket Kit. You can also choose an air cooler like the Noctua NH-D15. I'm pretty sure this needs a separate bracket too.

Motherboard: Asus - ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard

The Asus motherboard does support overclocking but tops out around 4GHz which should be plenty for the Ryzen 7 1700X.

Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
I went with 32GB of RAM for the video editing. I don't know what resolution you'll be editing at so 32GB may be overkill.

Video Card: EVGA - GeForce RTX 2080 8 GB Black Video Card
The EVGA GTX 2080 GPU is great for gaming and editing at 4k. I don't think the 2080Ti is worth the money.

Storage: Samsung - 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive, Seagate - Barracuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

You could go with more storage I just chose these because they work, and the prices are decent. The SSD is for your OS and your main games/applications as its only 500GB.

You can get Windows 10 OS cheap on Kinguin or Ebay.

Might want to wait until we know if OP needs or has peripherals already... no point chucking in a RTX 2080 if OP games at 1080p.

Loyalty might be a competitive gamer who wants 1080p with 240hz on the highest settings. Who knows, there are many factors that may affect my build. I just described some parts that could be good for his use.

If that were the case, he shouldn't be going with Ryzen. It's why it's important for us to know enough information beforehand, like what monitor(s) he'll be using with the system.

OP -
Do you need a keyboard/mouse/etc?
Do you need a monitor? If not, what monitor(s) will you be using with the system?
Do you want to spend £2.5k, or do you want to buy parts that are good value, it's either one or the other really. For the most part more expensive is, in fact, better, just maybe not always worth the premium.
What exactly will the system be used for? What programs will be used? What kind of editing- 4k videos or some memes on Photoshop now and again? What kind of games will you be playing?

nah I have mine already thanks <3
keyboard: ROCCAT Suora FX RGB Illumination
mouse: ROCCAT ROC-11-812 Kone EMP Max Performance RGB

I'm willing to do an upgrade as at the moment I'm using just 2
ASUS VP228HE 21.5-inch FHD monitors. I am looking towards getting 2 newer monitors in the near future, but unsure if I should do an upgrade of them with the system.

I'm willing to spend up to 2.5k

What exactly will the system be used for?
I'm entering uni for a computing course and tbh I just need a beast of a rig to use when at home as I don't want to spend money on a laptop to bring to class. I'm also a musician and a big gamer so I need enough firepower to love my fps and graphics, but at the same time when in MP be ready to go full try hard competative like I used to.

What programs will be used?
Most of the Adobe editorial software, bootstrap (can be run on even a toaster as it's a PHP plugin), a VM, FLStudios.

What kind of editing- 4k videos or some memes on Photoshop now and again?
Editing wise it's music videos ranging up to 1080p 60fps, as well as gaming sessions (plus recording of said gaming sessions).

What kind of games will you be playing?
CS:GO, PUBG, ESO, Skyrim, GTAV, RDR2, FH4, a ton of old games. Mostly anything that sparks my interest.

sorry for the late reply been working and stuffs

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 2700 3.2 GHz 8-Core Processor (£235.99 @ Aria PC)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! - Dark Rock Pro 4 50.5 CFM CPU Cooler (£69.98 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Asus - ROG STRIX X470-F Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard (£184.50 @ Aria PC)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (£110.98 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Samsung - 860 Evo 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£141.98 @ Aria PC)
Storage: Seagate - BarraCuda Pro 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£59.67 @ BT Shop)
Video Card: Palit - GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB GamingPro Video Card (£989.99 @ CCL Computers)
Case: Fractal Design - Meshify S2 Black - Dark TG ATX Mid Tower Case (£139.99 @ Novatech)
Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 (EU) 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (£86.46 @ Amazon UK)
Monitor: Samsung - LC27JG50QQNZA 27.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz Monitor (£299.00)
Total: £2318.54

You could swap the R7 2700 for an R5 2600 if you want to save about £100. You lose 2 cores, but the R5 2600 is still perfectly capable of rendering 1080p videos(where you'd likely notice the most difference between R5 and R7). The R7 1700 is only £160 right now, so you lose some IPC/clock speed compared to 2nd gen but it's 8 cores for 160 quid lol. With any of these CPUs, you could upgrade to 3rd gen Ryzen when it releases in the middle of the year, which will bring 12 and 16 cores to the mainstream, as well as hopefully a nice increase to IPC.

You can change the case if you want to save some cash. The one I included is pretty high end and you could swap it for something like the original Meshify C to save 40 quid.

You're definitely going to want a new monitor so I included a nice 1440p 144Hz monitor. It's not linked on PCPP, but you can get it on Amazon for £300. Alternatively, you could get a nice 4k 60Hz monitor for around the same price.

Not the nicest looking 2080Ti included, but it's better than paying £1100+ for the next best option. You could drop this down to an RTX 2080 if you wanted to save &;163;300.

If you do decide to save money and go with a cheaper case or the RTX 2080, I suggest getting 32GB of RAM. 16GB of RAM should be good but 32GB would be nice for streaming, recording, and gaming all at once. Plus, RAM has been cheaper lately then the past year or two, so why not and it's future proof.
