Jay wrote @All Can you bring speed back for us? Would be greatly appreciated.

hopefully this would mean madz being demoted, godspeed speed.

r0cketz wrote @Sean I've heard a few haters say that you see no future for the site and are considering bringing TTG to an end in the near future, is this true? and if so please NOOOOOOOOOO!!!

@maDz How long were you a member on TTG before becoming an admin and are there any ways to becoming a moderator?

@Mortar @Luke How did you guys discover TTG?

@All What do you guys work as in your day to day lives and where are y'all from?

I'm currently a Systems Analyst for a Medical School inside a hospital network which is a part of a State University system, kind of like those russian dolls that you keep opening up to smaller dolls except at the end you just end up with the coolest staff member inside. /s

My degree though is is a B.S in Biomedical Engineering, so right now I'm not currently working in the field, as things kinda got messy post graduation, people in the shoutbox that have had to deal with my nonstop whining know that story. However I'm (lucky might not be the word for it) at a point in my life where I don't really have anything to keep me from dropping everything and moving wherever need be to work in a related field and actually put this piece of paper to use, so that's something I'm looking into here soon.

I'm from, and currently live in Indiana. I've lived in Texas, Alabama, Florida, Indiana, and Louisiana though. Most everywhere is the same to be honest, different people, different weather, but the same for the most part.

I'm currently a Subject Matter Expert at a software company; I mainly just help my team obtain goals and help overcome challenges for them. It's such a rewarding job and is very fun. Been at this job for 6 years. Recently promoted a few months ago.

Tom wrote @ Sean When are we going to push out these bigger updates rather than continuing to grab smaller ideas to make the site better (ex, badges, rep system, etc) or making Discord a bigger picture than TTG.

We focus on one thing at a time right now we've just finished redoing alot of the downloads area almost doubling the amount of content it has in 15 days that was a huge task.

To be blunt the community is very entitled when it comes to updates other sites around us make next to no changes for years and years where we've always been a development heavy website since we built every single thing you see.

Websites running Xenforo, vB, Wordpress etc get their updates free and done for them but we have to upgrade every inch of what you see so a lot of the work you wont even see it's important to remember that we develop, maintain and own our Engine/CMS.

Updates to Discord will happen when we feel like it, Discord does not pay us, Discord does not pay the bills nor does it help the site in anyway the Discord only helps Discord the company so its not seen as important.

I see what you are talking about and I understand all of your points. However, TTG is the best gaming forum there is. Websites like 7s will compete but they are dead, they don't have as big of a reason to update the site. Let's be real, most of there members are members on here already. I'm not complaining that we arnt getting anything because I know (most) staff works hard behind the scenes. @madz work harder. Idk if I would say we are 'entitled' though. Yes we have great updates and small changes but you can't lie, the community deserves what you give them. This wasn't meant to be a rant or rude, just my opinion boss.

Also 100% agree on your discord portion of that.

EDIT: guess there has to be a question somewhere
@Sean: any time frame of any new big changes? Or not just yet

Maybe? I'm not exactly sure myself at the moment but it's always an option for another time, just don't want to be like one of those staff who sit back and have the rank which is lame.

Question for all of you that can answer it. What do you think you bring to the table when it comes to being a member of staff and improving the site you love?

For me specifically I feel like being a veteran member of the staff team is what l bring at the moment; and what I mean by that is I've seen almost everything possible with this site between users actions, reports, etc. and I can help guide some of the new staff and users themselves on what we might do for a specific instances.

I know new staff members (including myself when I first started) want to jump the gun and give someone a warning and/or a suspension, but sometimes just deleting something and sending a PM yourself works just fine.

I also feel like I'm a staff member that users new and old can come to if they have a problem and know that I'll fix a problem they might have or find an admin who can.

@Mortar ,

Oh I love this, I'd like to ask Mortar why they are such a warning power hungry coward?

Would always give out warnings to people, always got questioned by people about them but would ignore them because he was proven wrong. Multiple occasions of this with myself and many of the old Call of Duty hosters I used to speak with.

Screenshotted as evidence since it'll probs get deleted.
