When blacking out parts of a car like tail lights / rims, is Plasti Dip even worth it? I have glossifier for the tail lights so the lights still shine. I have seen many successful attempts with Plasti Dip and was wondering if anyone could leave some input.

| You don't plastidip tail lights.... You can get a product called nightshade to tint them but it's illegal. Get the black tail light housings if you like that look and anything you want to plastidip, just vinyl wrap it. Plastidip just looks so cheap. |

| Either night shade but that is crap we usually use a wrap film over here to tint them they stay shiny plus protected aswell lux tint films I think there in us anyway |

| Plasti dip in my opinion is trash, ended up dipping my old R33 a few years back and after 3 months i instantly regretted it |

There's another option on the eBay UK marketplace, it's spray tint specifically designed for lights. I wouldn't recommend spray-tinting your lights with Plasti-Dip, as it's not transparent at all, and it won't allow any light to pass through.
In regards to whether or not it's legal/illegal - it should be fine, as long as you don't tint them too dark, and your reflectors are still clearly visible. Some vehicles have reflectors integrated into the tail lights, which is a nuisance, as tinting may make the reflectors impossible to see. Other cars, however, have reflectors separate from the tail light unit and will be further down on the bumper. Just make sure you check before doing anything, and let me know how it goes. |

| No it's not and you'll also accumulate quite a few tickets for tinted taillights since it's a fairly big saftey hazard |
