Thoughts on this new game coming out next year? I never played the first one, seen great gameplay on YouTube. Do you think potentially The Division could be a game of the year.

Oh easily OP. The game looks polished, the only thing that's gonna scare people is how the first game went.
Ubisoft spent so much time releasing pre-rendered trailers that they forgot to you know, finish the game. And stuck a lot of us with grinding the same boring 4 missions in different areas for the first 4 months of the game. Not that I think the sequel will end up going this route though.

The world has been expanded, which was needed.. PvP has to be cleaned up a little bit. The matchmacking was messy last year every time they wanted to release a new mode. Plus the fact is was never balanced, being level 0 and playing with 99s isnt exactly fair. The Dark Zone was unique and I really hope they add some mission / questing into it. Maybe even start doing excursions in the DZ.
I think they have plenty to capitalize on after what they turned the 1st game into following launch year. I mean it's still has one of the highest congruent player bases on Xbox which speaks for itself. The game had endless replay ability and really thats all they have to work on for the 2nd one if they want people to enjoy themselves. Replay ability means so much in the terms of gaming in 2018. If they launch with 4 mission types that you just grind over-over-over and over for the first four months I'm telling you right now people are going to be pissed about this game. But I don't see that happening. I think Ubi really respects this franchise and how much money it has made them off just 1 title.

Excited for the sequel..

As far as I know anything you've seen about the DZ to this point is just speculation. The only thing Ubi has said about the DZ is that there is one.
They've hinted at some other stuff and also said it will be completely "revamped" (Which you can find here )
As far as progression and new features, the latest we've heard is from a dev interview which you can findhere

The Division 1 really redeemed itself in my opinion. Had a terrible launch and was plagued with issues, but they worked hard in consistently pushing out new updates. I'm rather excited for the division 2.

Mostly looks like a copy & paste in my opinion. Other than of course the new map and some new movement mechanics, otherwise it's the same. But of course it'll be more fun to play then the 1st one as this is new, kinda like COD.

every squeal/prequeal are just copy and pasted with a new coat take a look at csgo its css for console with a new skin for 2012, cods graphics slightly downgraded from ghosts back to black ops 1, division 2 and any other game have to be copied and pasted to have a function for said game to get a base going, whats not broken why fix? that said they really should make it from the ground up, but considering they already still had the files for the original game why would they do so? that said again it doesnt look too bad hopefully the game works day one unlike all the games released in 2016 and 2018
