Howdy yall

Welcome back, if those who know me and my old build, we have some sad news. Check out the old build here: Forums/t=7742515/my-audi-b7-s4-bu...-home.html

Unfortunately, after only a month of having the new motor put in, I was T-boned by someone who blew a stop sign. Car was totaled, and I never got to finish the build, or even feel what the new motor could put out. **** my life right? Thankfully insurance covered it all, guy claimed fault and I had my loan paid off and extra to spend.

Now we are here. I've always wanted to get into drifting, but never thought I would since I already owned the Audi, but look where life takes ya. I searched for a car that maintained 4 seats, but was rear wheel drive. Had to be manual, that's a necessity. Found an absolute gem. 01 325ci with a welded diff

Car is completely stock. Old woman owned it since till 2017 when the older gentalmen bought it off her. He said he welded the diff because he wanted to get into drift himself (rock on old dude, **** yea lmfao), but his wife scolded him and is now making him sell it lol. New driveshaft, new subframe bushings, new rear end pretty much.

Interior is 9/10
Exterior is 8/10
166k
bought it for $2,000

Not **** bad.

Already went out and had a bit of fun, definitely gonna be practicing more and getting videos!

Here's some pics, and a video of me beatin the piss out of it

Seems like you got a damn good deal. Best part is, now you don't have to use a turn signal and can drive like an asshole since it's a BMW.

Jokes aside and more importantly, I'm glad you're okay after such a bad accident.

I definitely think it is, plus I got 6 free tires too? Oh hellllll yea Lmfao

And straight facts, imma use my Audi tailgating skills combined with not using turn signals to turn into the final boss of assholes hahah

And thanks man, it's upsetting but life keeps moving!

Nice! Bmw's seem to be on the rise along with IS300s for drifting. Also, you can't have a drift missile if it's your only car. ;)

Nice find! I've got an 03 325i myself.

My only advice would be to do all preventative maintenance and check ups before getting into any mods. I drive mine bone stock since it's just my daily and I don't track/go nuts. The e46 generation BMW's are so damn cheap on the used market because while the engines themselves are fairly solid, the accessories under the hood are cheap plastic and turn to glass after 100,000 miles. Meaning, people don't spend the money every 80-100k miles to do the cooling system overhaul or VANOS solenoid repair, so even though it might run fine, a good 60% of them are just about to be knocking on death's door. They reallllllly don't like any type of overheating, the engines will take most anything thrown at them but if you start getting hot, shit starts warping and you're looking at double the cost of the car for a new drivetrain.

Check the water pump, all radiator hoses, thermostat, do a compression check, get the VANOs checked out. If you do the work yourself it won't be too expensive, which is the key to keeping an older BMW on the road without going for broke. I bought mine 3 years ago for about the same price as you, spent another $700 on parts for the cooling system and a new MAF, took me the weekend to do it all myself, and it's been great ever since outside of normal oil/tires/brakes.

If you take the precautionary measures, it's an absolutely amazing car for the cheap, sadly most owners don't and that's why they're all so cheap

Edit: If shit does go wrong and it turns into a lemon, LS Swap it and be the coolest and most hated person at the track.
