Ok folks, this is my PC build and I am guessing the price is probably 2000 dollars but it is kind of hard to figure out right now because I am adding an ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 TI but there are no prices for it from Amazon. This sounds weird but I am also trying to make the build as cheap as possible, preferably under 2000 US Dollars. It is kind of hard with these components but if there are any suggestions, that would be nice.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PC BUILD:

GPU - ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 TI COMFIRMED (OUT OF STOCK AT THE MOMENT?????)

CPU - i7 8th generation ( [Minimum post requirement for links] )

CPU Cooler - darkFlash RGB( [Minimum post requirement for links] )

Motherboard - MSI Performance Gaming Intel Coffee Lake ( [Minimum post requirement for links] .
ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER )

PSU - Evga SuperNova ( [Minimum post requirement for links] )

Memory/RAM - G-Skill TridentZ ( [Minimum post requirement for links] )

Hard Drive - Western Digital 2TB ( [Minimum post requirement for links] )

SSD - SanDisk 240 GB ( [Minimum post requirement for links] )

Case - Phanteks ( [Minimum post requirement for links] )

Extra Fans - Corsair RGB ( [Minimum post requirement for links] )

I would like to know if these parts go together as well. I am pretty sure they do but PCPartpicker does not have a lot of these parts.

Thanks!!!

Only one of the links works, and it's the motherboard one.

Unlocked CPU with H370 chipset makes no sense. Buy a Z370/Z390 chipset motherboard or a locked CPU instead. That CPU cooler will probably perform identically to a stock Intel cooler, which is bad. Definitely don't buy that PoS cooler, especially not for an 8700k.

That system with an 1080Ti shouldn't even be close to $2k btw. Assuming it's 16GB RAM, you should be looking at under $1700 for the whole system. The 1080Ti is discontinued though, unlikely to be more stock now so if you want one, you just have to grab whatever is available or buy used.

What will you actually be using the system for?
What monitor(s) will you be using?
Will you be overclocking?

I will edit the links so you can look at it. I have an Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor: AW2518H. I will be using it for gaming and I do not think I will be overclocking. Also do you have any motherboard suggestions? **I edited the links but back to PC parts, I am also looking for an aesthetic look so I like when there is RGB lights on the components.

I would personally do this build. GTX 1080ti's are actually like not available... well there is one but I seen it somewhere for like 1400.

This is off topic but since the 1080tis are hard to get now, should I get a 2080? Will that work with my build. I am changing the motherboard ( [Minimum post requirement for links] ).
I am also changing the CPU cooler but I am afraid of liquid cooling because isn't it high maintenance and a chance of leaking and destroying the computer?

This is stressing me out. Every 10 minutes I am changing the list. I want it to be my own unique build but I am just scared something is going to not be compatible or I could of spent a few more dollars on a different component to get a lot more performance.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor ($339.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Phanteks - PH-TC12DX_BK 68.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($49.99 @ Newegg Business)
Motherboard: Asus - Prime Z370-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($161.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($129.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung - 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($72.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($58.89 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Gigabyte - GeForce RTX 2080 8 GB GAMING OC Video Card ($749.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Phanteks - ECLIPSE P400S TEMPERED GLASS ATX Mid Tower Case ($79.99 @ Newegg Business)
Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Case Fan: be quiet! - Pure Wings 2 140 PWM 61.2 CFM 140mm Fan ($12.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $1706.79

newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?I...-_-Product

Use the 2 included case fans as intake in the front, and the Be Quiet fan in the rear as exhaust. Vengeance RGB Pro looks nicer than the TridentZ RGB, plus cheaper. RTX 2080 instead of GTX 1080Ti since for the same price, 2080 is a better option. $650 for a GTX 1080 is ridiculous, definitely don't do that.

It would be useful if we actually knew what game you're going to be playing though, and what else the system will be used for. You could just be trying to play Fortnite for all we know.

I mostly am going to playing games that require power. Here is a quick 2 games off the top of my head. Fallout 76 and Division 2 (When it comes out). Also, is a GTX 1080ti better with an i7 8th gen or is a 2080 better. My friends are saying a 2080 is only good with an i9. They are also saying my i7 8th gen would bottleneck with a 2080 graphics card. I am also getting a warning on PCPartpicker with your list: The Phanteks - ECLIPSE P400S TEMPERED GLASS ATX Mid Tower Case supports video cards up to 395mm long, but video cards over 280mm may block drive bays. Since the Gigabyte - GeForce RTX 2080 8 GB GAMING OC Video Card is 285.5mm long, some drive bays may not be usable.

Fallout 76 is gonna run like shit no matter what you're using AFAIK lol.

crippledcheese58 wrote My friends are saying a 2080 is only good with an i9

Uh no, that doesn't make any sense. An RTX 2080 will work fine with an i7-8700k. You could spend a bit more and get an i7-9700k if you wanted, but you'd probably want to get a Z390 motherboard at that point which just adds more cost. Not really worth it over the 8700k at this point IMO.

The GPU will fit in the case fine. It's not actually going to block anything. The case comes with 2 x 3.5" HDD bays under the PSU shroud as well as 2 x 2.5" SSD sleds on the back of the motherboard tray. You have the option to add an additional 5 x 3.5" drive bays in the front of the case. With the Gigabyte RTX 2080, you might have one slot blocked off but I think you'd be able to make it work if you really needed to.
