I met most of my friends talking crap to each other on Halo, ten years later I'm still doing the same thing with the same people.
Trash Talking is for sure one of the factors that contributes to how fun games are, I wanna be able to scream profanities at people, and I want them to scream them back, I think it's a lot of fun. If people take things said to them online, especially by a stranger, to heart, then they should get the hell off the internet cause they are too weak for it lmao.

I agree with you mostly on this but some of the stuff people get banned for is just plain ridiculous and he is sort of right where he's coming from Trash Talking is a big part of gaming its just on how you are doing it.

While trash talking may be a big part of gaming, if it's against the Code of Conduct/TOS, it's makes sense for a ban/warning to be enforced. Just gotta adapt and follow the guidelines. Just because someone does it to you or in general, it doesn't make sense for yourself to partake in it. Report it and move on.

He could of possibly been trash talking a teammate that was terrible? Not necessarily someone who killed him and then he flamed them. I don't know the story but don't just assume one side of it

That's a good point to be fair, back in my day playing in xbl and sending rage messages usually didn't amount to anything.

Well I'll be damned not even 24 hours and my account is suspended again LOL this time for 7 days. I am now unable to communicate with others I never even did anything this time. People just report for no damn reason. WTF

That's what I've been struggling with, I rarely communicate in XBL and when I do, it's generally very mild, and I may swear a few times, but it's nothing worth banning anyone over for. Microsoft seems to be quite overprotective in this area.

its just the xbox 360 players generation thats might stopped playing or someting....

back when i played MW2 it was allways trash talking and then straight over to Rust and do the 1v1, miss those days

trash talking isnt a part of any video game a friendly f*ck you is a part of it, trash talking isnt the biggest nor adult thing to do in games if you have to trash talk then you just suck and are easily angered, i remember when i had a really stupid bio on 360 about being better at gta4 then anyone else some random messaged me trash talking so i trash talked back and then gotten banned by the pro the man or whatever he was called back in 09 before he got fired, so just an fyi you arent allowed to swear anymore on xbox which the f*ck you isnt a bad swear if you say "f*ck that or f*ck you ill do it my own way" now if you trash talk with any swear to randoms youll be banned theres a reason why no body like childish people i learned this after being banned 8times on my main account for trash talking and modding, so dont be childish and youll be fine obey the new tos/coc microsoft is and will always be listening no matter what never use normal voice chat or xbl party chat because these are monitored harder then ever now, do i think its a good change yes do i think its a harsh punishment yes comms suspension is ok but account suspension is a little too far, not even kidding i was never communication banned when i trashed talked when i was 14 was always straight up ban, moral is i dont like the new microsoft i dont like what phil did them i dont agree that you should be banned for swear, so again no one like trash talking little kids, trash talking is just very stupid 10+years ago trash talking was fine because 85% of xbl was kids ages 12 to 18 nowadays everyones 20+ on xbl so everyone grew out of that childish phase, learn your lesson and dont trash talk please it makes you childish

Funny thing about all that is there is swearing allowed on Xbox Live. In the party finder there is a filter that you can use that says, "SWEARING OK". On the other hand I would have given you a D- for the lack of using a period. Info was good though.
