I'll be 24 in 19 days. And my Aunt said as you get older your birthday is not like what it use to be like getting gifts, cash, etc. But what do you all do now for your birthdays?, As I wrote on another fourm my mom passed 2 years ago and our birthdays where 5 days a part so we had a tradition of spending dinner and our birthdays together but now that my mom is gone new traditions are made. I think for my birthday me my fiance and aunt will go for dinner. Gifts don't matter to me it's about being with the ones I love and appreciate.

Well I agree as you get older it definitely is different and the gifts do change. I got gifts or money from my closest family members then the rest just have a small amount as we agreed to do. But we will always go out for a meal somewhere then whoever's birthday it is doesn't have to pay for anything and they can have what they like

I turned 22 at the end of June and I just spent it with family and friends and I got a few small gifts from my brother etc but nothing special. But I prefer spending it with people just having a good day / night

Small gifts are great to. But just being with friends and family having g a great day is amazing.

I wake up, and hope no one remembers it's my birthday.

I'm 23, and even when I was little I never wanted a party, or people to know for that matter.

Now I just have something small at home and invite some friends over, other than that I just get invited out to dinner or for drinks
