I know this does not help, but the same thing happens to me on BO2 so I hope someone can help us out.

its your account stats, they must be corrupted somehow, thats the only reason i can think of

yes mate my Bo1 done the same thing, at the start I could play online and it was great then one day it started logging me out and hasn't worked with any Xbox 360 game since. It's so annoying

man I got to 20th prestige legit on mw3, bloody loved the game! Was so psyched when I heard about the backwords compatibility I was buzzing.

Got mine to work! Do this:-

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Note Double-tapping the Xbox button will open the guide from any other screen on the console.
Select Settings.
Select All settings.
Select System and then select Storage.
Select Clear local Xbox 360 storage.
Select Yes and restart the console. This will not affect your cloud saved games or Xbox One games and profiles.

Once I done this and switched all back on and tried to load mw3 it had to re download my Xbox 360 information and boom it worked
