Hello yesterday I had my first ever BSOD crash ever with this computer that is around 2 years old, Specs down below. WOW just crashed with a blue screen right as i finished that last sentence.

Specs

Operating System
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.00GHz 34 C
Haswell 22nm Technology
RAM

Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. G1.Sniper Z97 (SOCKET 0) 30 C
Graphics
OMEN by HP 25 (1920x1080@144Hz)
OMEN by HP 25 (1920x1080@144Hz)
OMEN by HP 25 (1920x1080@144Hz)

14GB SanDisk Cruzer Glide USB Device (USB )
Optical Drives
ASUS DRW-24B1ST i
Audio
Sound Blaster Recon3Di

I just got this graphics card a few weeks ago I upgraded from a 970 could It be that the card is bad and I should argue for a refund for the warranty? I have already resetted my computer back to system restore and it still crashes my webpages and bluescreens me every few minutes. Its hard to surf the web or even get through a youtube video without the browser crashing.

So i`m thinking about putting a new PSU, motherboard, RAM, and case all on my credit card as I don`t have enough money at all to purchase them now and i`m damn sure not about to replace parts i`m just going to upgrade to DDR4 ram but i need a new motherboard for that and i read that BCOD is sometimes caused from bad PSUs so may as well get a new one and iv been wanting a case for a while so i might get one of them as well.

Is there away around not having to purchase new hardware that could fix the issue or no?

Does it give you any kind of error? Sometimes, that can help. Record your screen, with a phone maybe, until it crashes again.
The bad thing about BSOD is it can be caused by so many different things.
If it happened recently after your GPU upgrade, I would put your old GPU back in. Play a bit. If it doesn't crash, I would argue for a new GPU.

Do you have a local friend who is willing to let you swap parts for a day to do testing?

Nobody within a days drive of me knows that you can play games on a PC. I honestly don`t think its a GPU problem at all since it happens every two minutes and i don`t even have a game downloaded RN. I think its a dying PSU or faulty bad ram.

Edit: it only gave me an error code once when it first happened when I was playing BF1 but i tried again and it crashed again at the same point but with no code.

Windows will display an error code on the blue screen. For more details, make sure minidumps are enabled so you can use BlueScreenView.

Press the Windows key, type "systempropertiesadvanced" and press enter. Under the "Startup and Recovery" section of the window that opens, click "Settings."

Make sure that the "System failure" section has the correct settings to save memory dumps when a crash happens.

Download BlueScreenView and open the memory dumps, which will be saved in the C:\Windows\ folder.

It says the crash was caused by a memory issue. To rule out hardware, run mdsched.exe and make Windows run a memory test at next boot.

If there are no errors, it's probably not a hardware issue and we can move on to drivers.

It said there was none.

Great.

Next, since you changed your graphics card, you should try a clean install of the NVidia drivers. Use DDU to uninstall and clean up: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Once DDU has run and you have rebooted, Windows will automatically get a new driver. It's won't be the full install with GeForce Experience, but you can get that later if you want it: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

If that doesn't work, I'll show you how to use sysprep to reset all drivers.

See if it still crashes after a clean graphics driver install, yes.

There are a million things that can crash a computer. Having one or two random crashes isn't cause for alarm.
