I have over 150 hours of tattoo work EASY and I've never payed for a tattoo upfront. I've also never payed for ANY work upfront. 99% of all jobs in the world are payed after work is completed. Only SOME ask for partial payment or a deposit.

Ive been burned too many times and i know a few of my fellow graphic heads have also on here or anywhere else so we started taking payments first.
You can really tell who is dedicated into paying for work and who is not from the get go.
People think we have all the time in the world to spend 390843 hours on a piece for $20 or more. I try to tell people ahead, you pay, then ill work on design.

I rarely ever charge, I don't see the point in it when for the most part, what the user wants isn't particularly hard to produce. I prefer to just help out when I feel like it and for no personal gain; it is just easier and less constricting that way.
