Do you ever feel like your anxiety/depression is too much to handle? I do. Do you ever feel alone to where you isolate yourself from everyone and everything because that seems like the only option so you don't make things worse? Yes. How about carrying the weight of trying to please everyone and just can't say no? All the time.

Anxiety leads to depression, depression leads to isolation and isolation inevitably leads to loneliness. It may seem like a roller coaster most of the time, but I'm here to let those who suffer from similar issues know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. You may feel lost at sea, sure, but never completely alone. YOU ARE WORTH IT.

I'm sure most can agree that it's exhausting going through a depressive wave because it usually packs one hell of a punch that personally just leaves me drained.

Same goes for anxiety, though it comes with so much more than just anxiety alone. Sure, it might start with racing thoughts about the past, present or future and that will eventually get to the point where you're just completely overthinking the slightest situation. Something that comes mixed in with anxiety, for me personally, that is difficulty sleeping at night. It takes more effort falling asleep because, like most I have would've, should've, could've thoughts of what "would've" changed if I took that opportunity when it was there, what I "could've" done to prevent the outcome that had already happened, or what I "should've" done to handle that situation better. All of these replay a thousand times before that rare occasion where I can finally breathe and relax. The calm before the storm.

Isolation is no walk in the park either because it becomes too much to bare. Shortly after leads to loneliness and questioning your self worth. I'll say it again, YOU ARE WORTH IT. STEP OUT, TAKE A CHANCE AND MORE OFTEN THAN NONE, YOU'LL LIKE WHAT YOU FIND. All of the depression/anxiety is one hell of a barrier and it is easier said than done, but once you take that chance and work around it, I guarantee you'll have a sense of accomplishment and overall, be much happier with your decision that you decided to talk to that girl/boy that eventually led to the date that might just spark the start of something great and beautiful.

Anxiety, depression, isolation and loneliness might seem like they consume your life, but in reality they aren't the only things that make YOU. That's just a fraction of your life and there's SO MUCH MORE to look forward to and live for.

A lot to read, I know, but I Just wanted to share a couple crucial points that most that suffer from depression and/or anxiety often forget.

If you actually read my whole post, I'd like to know so comment "D" if you suffer from depression followed by a rating 1-10 depending how you're feeling that day. If you suffer from anxiety comment "A" along with how you're feeling that day followed with a rating 1-10. If you suffer from both anxiety and depression comment "AD". Again, give me your rating of how severe it is for you that day. Also, if you have any good coping skills I for one would love to know what works for you to get you through those overwhelming/difficult times.

I'll start.

AD. Anxiety: 3. Depression: 4. One of my main coping skills are listening to music or watching movies.

A -7; I currently don't have anything to help me cope with it, although when I play Xbox it does take my mind off things, I'm on the verge of leaving my job just because i think it is the main issue. Nice topic.

Having a rough week. Mainly feeling like I'm not good enough for my kids.

I cope by working, lots and lots of work.

Great post my dude! I've been having a mental health illness since I was 13 years old and I'm 22 years old now. My advice to people is number 1 always have a coping skill like for example for me it's video games, reading, and watching shows that help your brain. It's very important that you use any coping
skill of any sort. Also remember to enjoy the little things in life guys life's too short to be miserable all the time go on walks to think things through, never stay shut always tell someone how you're feeling. Never stay quiet there's always help!
