Personally I genuinely won't be purchasing. Aren't a true cod fan? Sorry I've grown up a bit, that's all it is. Not a game I enjoy anymore nor have as much time for. Simple.

I'm the same, I complain mainly because I don't want to spend around -£60 for a game I don't want to hate. Which is understandable, if they allowed the community to help more then they'd release a game everyone wants. But there'll always be one person who dislikes it.

I knew that I'd wouldn't like Bo4 because at this point they are milking the shit out of the black ops series.

In a whole if your good you keep playing.

It really isn't a complaint from my part, it's more of a disappointed feeling than anything else. I don't particularly want to have a perfect game like Modern Warfare 2 be released without the multiplayer, which in reality, is what made that game great. Yes, the campaign was also good; yes, these are all just rumors. But, if these are true, what I fail to see is how they believe this is a good idea; unless they're wanting to sell the multiplayer by itself.

I do get what you're saying. I do see a lot of the same people complain about how they're not buying another Call of Duty game and then, when the release date for a new CoD gets close, these same people get hyped up and end up buying the game... Just to complain about how the game doesn't have the same feeling to it as the older Call of Duty games. People will do anything to chase nostalgia nowadays but what they fail to realize is that the demographic is changing; it isn't the '90's kids generation anymore.

And... Really, people? You're going to say you've grown up when you're playing a game like Fortnite? I myself am addicted to playing Fortnite, pretty much play it every day but... Really? You're going to base your supposed "gaming maturity" off of that you're playing FORTNITE now? If anything, PUBG has the more mature and serious gameplay; while Fortnite is the hyped up game of the moment, PUBG has more serious gameplay, even with its 'shitty' quality on Xbox.

"Oh, but Fortnite is free", it's free until you see yourself spending $100 on 10,000 V-Bucks and realizing that no, the game isn't free if you want an actually enjoyable experience because the Free Battle Pass is made to be intentionally boring and they release new skins every 2-3 days to keep people purchasing V-Bucks to grow their skin collection. And then you also realize that you've spent more on V-Bucks that you would have spent just buying the new Call of Duty installment. But as I've said before, none of these game developers are forcing you to purchase their microtransactions; they're not holding a gun to your head or holding a family member hostage. You purchase microtransactions because you want to.

Not 'grown up' as such. More 'grown out of'. I've been playing Call of Duty since 2007 and it's the same thing over and over again with a new layer painted over the top of it. It's repetitive and I don't have the same drive to go for prestiges etc. anymore. It's just an effort.

Fortnite has taken over the gaming scene recently and is continually growing and is a very addictive game to play in general. Yeah people can spend money on it, as they'll actually use the skins that they're purchasing. Call of Duty is straight up £50-£60 before you've even played it and I, personally get bored of it after 2-3 weeks.

Also, PUBG is a piece of nonsense. Games take forever and people hideout the whole game. It's horrendous. Fortnite is fun, a good laugh and always challenge. I think that's why that's majority of people's preference these days.

I wouldn't buy another cod.

These days, there are A LOT more options when it comes to FPSs, and in my opinion cod peaked at BOIII. There's not much they can do for redemption and a lot more titles are working their way up the ranks to achieve success.

Correct, Call of Duty has the worst support in any competitive eSport game.

LGW wrote People who are saying this and that are just outgrowing the series. Cod doesn't have the same grip on you as it did when you were younger and with age, people are becoming more critical. Can't deny that the game has been on a downward slope for years? I'm not one to speak my mind about a game but I genuinely believe it's just down to age.

Happily. Epic created a game that actually keeps you hooked unlike the past 8 years of Call of Duty.
The BR franchise will die in the next year. You'll soon realize that playing the same thing over and over will get boring. I cannot see FN or PUBG being popular still in the next year.
