Using this build for 4k video editing with Premiere pro. Going with the 1700x Ryzen processor, looking for GPU and mobo recommendations.

My top option for mobo is the Asus x370 pro
My top option for GPU is the Asus 1060

Trying to save as much money as possible while not compromising for a quality editing workhorse. Capped at $200 for mobo & $600 for GPU

Need much more information before we can help you.

I've edited the post and added that I'm using it for premiere pro. What other information do you need to recommend a mobo & GPU for this processor?

Total budget will help. Allocating money to each component is a bad idea. A general budget that we can work with would be great so we can get you a balanced build.

About 1200. Strictly for video editing GH4 4k clips and some wiggle room for future audio & graphic programs

This is assuming you need no peripherals or monitor, little north by $70.

Not sure why you'd go with Ryzen if you're strictly using Premiere Pro to edit/render, since Intel CPUs do better with Premiere Pro.

Also not entirely sure why you'd buy a 6GB GTX 1060 if you're not using the system to game, especially with the current GPU pricing?

8600k will perform about on par with an R7 1700x in Premiere Pro. You could even save some money on case/PSU and maybe some other places to fit an 8700k in there under $1k. I didn't include a GPU, but I'd just recommend getting a used GTX 980 for $200-220, or a used GTX 970 for a bit less($170ish).
