So... I went for my first tattoo yesterday, curious as to what people think of it. Those of you that know me know I absolutely adore my Nan, and she isn't well so I got this done for her... hope she likes it as much as I do! Here is the reference image the artist had made from my description:

Here is the end result (everything that is red, will return to normal hopefully over the next few days), opinions?

I LOVE the design. However I think they should've tried shading the bottom half instead of it looking exactly like the picture if you get what I mean? But as long as you like it man, that's all that matters;)

Sexy sexy

Edit: you see at the top the shading is perfect (I know it's supposed to be a lighter shade and the bottom is supposed to be darker as there's less light but you get me anyway haha my tattoo was a **** up (follow the tail)

Edit 2: I didn't notice you mentioned it was to do with your Nan, I hope she gets well soon brother. I bet she'll love it!

C'mon mate, our opinions don't matter. It's all about your Nan's thoughts on it that counts. Honestly, i like the design and the meaning behind it. Family were the reasons behind my sleeve as you know. <3 Hope she gets better bud.

It looks really good man, and it also has that sentimental value too which is priceless imo.

How long did it take you to get it done if you don't mind me asking?

Damn dude that's huge.
Did that hurt a lot?

You can say "that's what she said" if you want instead of answering.

Actually a really sick looking tattoo and a good placement too. Great way to start! Massive tattoo for your first so I give you props for that.
