After watching tonight's episode of Dragon Ball Z Super with Goku going full Ultra instinct me and my fiance (Specialize) stared to talk that maybe someday if we have a son we would name our kid after Goku. To nights ep was bad ass.

So my question out there for you all that like anime would you name your kid after an anime character even if it sounded weird?

Don't think I ever would. I tend to look at it like if play ground kids would laugh or make fun of your name, than I wouldn't use it lol.

It depends, really. If I have a girl then no, I'm naming her Rose. A boy, maybe, don't know what name though.

I, personally, would never name a child strictly after an anime character, especially after an iconic character like Vegeta, no matter how "cool" it may sound. That's just exposing the child to unwanted attention, in my opinion. Similar to what Fibril said, other kids might pick on them and say, "Look at me, I defeated Vegeta!". Plus, they might not even like anime in general, and might end up hating their name even more once they know the meaning behind their name. It's important to think a bit ahead, you know?

Anyway, I feel like a middle name based off of an anime character would be a bit more reasonable, if one's keen to integrate the name somehow.

So, to answer your question, no, I wouldn't name a child after an anime character. A pet, on the other hand, is a different story.

LMAO
I'm on the same page. I wouldn't necessarily name a child after an anime character. I mean maybe, if it's a more obscure name that doesn't sound ridiculous; one that doesn't attract unwanted attention. And obviously it should be meaningful in my opinion.

Id name a pet like a dog or something after another character but I wouldnt name a child after a character because they would have to live with that name for the rest of their lives you would be basically inviting people to bully your child.

Honestly it really depends on the name. If it's something low key and a nice name then maybe, any high profile ones nah.
